Don't forget that this event is SUNDAY only. It's going to be a fun one! John, Dag, and others from Marengo take really good care of this course!
I've got exciting news for those of you that play Disc Golf at Indian Oaks in Marengo.
We've found a local contractor that is helping us out with our tee pad project. The price is so good that we will be starting right away, and It looks like if everything goes as planned, we'll have 10 of the pads done before the iOS tournament on August 11th!
Phase 1 of the project is to do the 10 holes in the open area of the park. Holes 1-3 & 12-18
The price that we're paying is way less than what we've been quoted in the past, and we have most of the funds already from previous fundraising efforts. We do however need a little more money to complete the first Phase
Also, we have the ability to continue on with the rest of the holes at an extremely affordable price, so I would like to put a call out there for all of you fans of the course at Indian Oaks, to help support the funding of these projects.
So, if you would like to help support our free to play course in Marengo, please contact me via facebook or email (john@steakfest.com). You can also contact me at 847.331.0201.
I've setup a page on our website to collect donations via Pay Pal, if you'd like an easy way of supporting the cause, please visit: http://www.marengodiscgolf.com/pledge
As of our Saturday morning doubles we needed to raise $864 for the rest of Phase 1. We've already raised 1/4th of that money just by a couple donations from some of our Saturday morning players.
Any gifts over $100 will be recognized on our overall Course information sign (the big sign that was damaged when a tree fell on it last summer) when we have it reprinted.
Thank you for your support, and please feel free to forward this information or re-post in other forums.

I just wanted to say thanks to all the crew with the IOS for keeping Indian Oaks in the rotation again this year. Unfortunately once again I won't be able to play. Just like last year WhipperSnap Music and Arts Fest falls on the same weekend, and I will b wrapped up working and enjoying the good times at HideAway Lakes in. Yorkville. We put a lot of work into making this years Snap even bigger and Better than last year. With national touring acts like Ekoostick Hookah, Cosby Sweater and Future Rock your sure to boogie down. Marengo is looking beautiful this time o year, with much less Mosquitos then other local courses I've been playing. Plus now with the new 10 concrete pads, she's taking a big step forward. I hope everyone shoots well and enjoys a good day at the park. And if anyone has some time on they're hands check out Whippersnapfestival.com Fest starts on Thursday and we'll b there all weekend come on out and I'd love to see some more familiar faces
hah, how did we manage to pull that off? This year we're running 2 or 3 weeks later than what we did last year. Oh well. Hope we can keep it in the rotation and get it on a date where you can make it next year!
Hey Scott, how many spots are there available for Sunday? Didn't have a chance to pre-reg cause I wasn't sure if I was going to make it.
