How many games do the Blackhawks have to win in a row before non-hockey fans start to take an interest in them? Have they become must watch tv for guys that typically don't watch hockey?
Honestly they could win every game for the whole season and I'm not watching. Nothing against the Hawks, just not a fan of hockey.
Also, what does winning all the regular season games do for you in the NHL? 16 teams make the playoffs. Upsets in the playoffs are common occurrences. Home advantage means less than in other sports. The playoffs is when the NHL season really begins. The Hawks are dominating now, but if they lose in the playoffs it will all be forgotten. Nobody brings up the 116 win 2001 Seattle Mariners as one of the all-time great teams because they lost in the playoffs.
I feel like you were begging for someone to rain on your parade, so there you go Tom ;D

I won't forget the records this team is breaking. 10 wins in a row for the team, 10 in a row for Emery, and longest streak without losing in regulation to start the season. 1926 is a long time ago. Unreal! But your not alone Dan. Many anti hockey fans in America. This team won't get beat in a 7 game series. Their to deep and talented. There's no sport in the World that can touch the fun that the Stanley Cup Playoffs bring. Action packed.

I'm not on a quest to stop anyone from enjoying hockey. Do what you enjoy! I like to watch baseball, NASCAR, and golf. I've been told plenty of times how stupid each of those is! Not to mention Disc Golf :D

Honestly, I am just looking for some feedback. I am getting pretty tired of ESPN talking Kobe/LeBron about 20 hours out of the day.
Even strike shortened, this is a pretty special thing that they are doing. I think that the Hawks have a good shot at winning the Cup, outside of injuries I don't think anyone can beat them in a 7 game series.
And everyone has their own thing. NASCAR doesn't interest me, but I can appreciate that other people enjoy it. I do think much of has to do what you grew up with.
if they threw a right hand turn at the Nascar racers, then it might get interesting?? doubt it though!
Blackhawks are doing something very special from what I hear?? wouldn't waste electricity on a hockey game! Enjoy it while it's here, cause I smell the hot dogs and cold beer, it's almost time for Baseball!
Tom, I think the people that don't typically watch hokey have already jumped on the bandwagon. It doesn't take long for that to happen.
I was never interested in that stuff (why do you think I left Ukraine?) so I still won't watch, but it is exciting to see everyone getting all riled up by this season.
I've taken notice but I still don't watch. Never been much of a hockey fan. Tons of media coverage right now.
Doug--Have you been to a major NASCAR event? I tell anyone non NASCAR fan that has not been to a race. Don't judge until you've been there in person.
Ive been fan all my life.
Tony O is my favorite . # 35
best tshirt is : give blood play hockey
It takes a while for the average sport fan to get on board with hockey.
My wife puts up with it both on tv and in person
but kid , young adult now, has several wolves, U of I hockey, and 1 black hawk game souveneirs
but she also can discuss football, baseball, basketball to some extent
winning spurs some interest but it can fade fast
this team is DEEP in talent, pucks have taken some nice hops / seems their legs are fresh , faster game
which benefits the hawks style
Dan is correct , reg season aint sh@t if you dont win the Cup.
Go see the Wolves play, sit in Section 215 .
good value for the $

The red jersey is in the laundry after riding my bike with it on to Damon's to watch Saturday night's game. It should be fresh for next season or game 7 if need be. The white jersey is on tap for this evening's game.
Holy crap what a finish!!!!!!!!!!!!
:hello2: :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:
Amazing. That doesn't happen in a hockey game and it happened twice this year. Once for the Bruins and last night. That may have been the greatest ending of a Stanley Cup Final ever.
