Yestarday was great. This is a fantastic doubles event & I will continue to play it in the future. It snowed a few hours & stopped about halfway thru the first round. There was probably 8-12 inches of snow on the ground. Wind conditions were probably 15 to 20 mph all day long.

Jason & I lead the first round by 1 stroke.  We struggled tremendously the second round alternate shot. We ended up finishing second.

Here is what I e-mailed Jason this morning.
2 Rounds of 24 Holes (Par 72)
2003  1st RD-> 73  2nd RD-> 84 Total 157 +13(8th Place)
2004  1st RD-> 61  2nd Rd-> 78  Total 139  -5 (2nd Place)

The course was slightly easier due to pin positions & weather conditions but we were pumped about the improvement. I'm still bummed about the second place finish after seeing the first place team got a DVD player & other goodies.

We'll try our luck next year in Advanced.

Dr Dye & I finished 13/17 yesterday in the same division as those two  baggers. We were +11 (155)

I would definitely recommend this tournament to anyone.  Uncle Joe and others do a great job running it and give out some very genreous prizes.  I was kind of disappointed to see a small field yesterday.  They filled it up last year, but probably had 10-15 openings on the Sunday portion of this year's Ice Bowl.  Luckily, there was a large number of Illinois golfers up there on the frozen tundra.  Brett and I shot great in the first round, but really struggled in the second as evidenced by our +6   The first place team definitely deserved the win.  Overall, it was a great time, especially in the snow.
