Great. The news out of Springfield today has been good. I can't wait to get down there to check out the new course.

Awesome, Lincoln is already in my top 10 courses played. Looks like it will be moving up the list. <_<

This is the course proposal that was approved...

With the new layout we will be able to add Gold Tees for tourneys that will be able to add as much as another 300' feet to some layouts by utilizing baseball fields and established garden areas for single weekend events.

New pin and pad positions are marked and the course will be walked with Lincoln Park Maintenance on Monday for a walk-thru for approval of locations...

Damn we are close...

I got a chance to play most of the new holes yesterday thanks to the help of Brad, Jim, Scott, & Kent.

The new course is going to play similar to Lombard. It does have some slight elevation in a few places and has some fun holes.

I'm super excited about the old course and the addition of several new holes. There is going to be a tricky wooded hole between #2 & #3. The signature hole old #3 will now become 4. There is going to be a new hole added (# 5) near the long pad of old #4 which will play up the hill into the woods. I did not like old #4 and it's going to get a huge overhal. It will be hole #6. The tee is going to be up on the hill in the woods. SWEET!  There is another hole that is going to play in the woods and it's going to be NASTY! This course is going to be pretty awesome when it gets done. Can't wait to see the finished product.

COURSE UPDATE:

NEW TEE-SIGNS INCORPORATING THE NEW LAYOUT OF THE TWO COURSES... go in Mid-April.

We are going with a 4x4/6x6 Wood sign option burried down to the frost line... to discourage vandals.  The South Course signs will be stained Gray and the North Course signs will be stained Blue.

The signs will be in before the May B-tier...

NexTEEs will be installed on all three courses within the next few weeks...

So does the new course start on hole 4 then?  I played on my way home from GBO and just started on 4.  I like the back 9 a lot on the new.  Lost a roller on 16, looked forever.  Some guy called me 45 min later and had found it already.  I was hoping a club member would find it.
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

NexTEES started being installed yesterday - 8 of the holes on the north course will point you in the direction of the next tee.

The last three holes go into the sleeves tonight.  The layout/order of the holes on the south course will be changing.  NexTEES will show you the way...

We lost a battle with a few park benches in the lagoon redesign.

Three new pin sleeves have been installed for the revised layout.

This weekend the pins move and a new layout will be followed.

As of this weekend you will want to follow the numbers on the 6x6 Treated Tee-Signs.
