Gateway and Revolution's bags have always been close in terms of quality comparison. Before I got my Gateway in 2002 I had gone through several other bags, typically one per season, from Wall City and Lightning. My Gateway is now 5 years old and the only problem its had was one of the loops I use for quad shocks came out of the stitching. I simply turned the bag around on the quads and used the loops on the other side.

Of the bags I have owned:

1. Revolution (by FAR)
2. Innova
3. Discraft
4. Lightning

I've had a PDGA tour bag for a few years now. Got it from dtworld with a couple of champion discs for a good price. I'd recommend it.

I probably wouldn't put Gateway and Quest in the same category for bags.  I've seen both, and true Gateway bags seem to be better.  I haven't used either yet, so I can't say for sure.

Yeah, I echo Scott's comments that Gateway / Quest for bags isn't a fair combination. Does Quest make a bag? I saw KVN walking around with what looked to be a duffle bag with screen printing on it at one point, but it didn't *look* like a DG bag.

yeah, I have one of those bags.  I don't use it right now.  It has a nice storage compartment with plastic components to separate your discs (just like their display rack pictures), but I think the quality of the bag pales in comparison from what I've seen of Gateway bags.

Plus with Quest's new disc "purses" (i certainly wouldn't call them bags), they have gone a completely different direction from Gateway's stuff.

What about Gorilla Boy bags they look pretty nice on the website but I haven't seen one in person.

gorilla boy is another good contender in the quality department. Dr Dye got a Gorilla Boy from Brett way back in the day and thats all he's ever used since then.

Gorilla Boy bags look like they are home-made?  That's the impression I got from going to their myspace page.  There are some good reviews out there on Gorilla Boy - found over at www.discgolfreview.com

Gorilla Boy Bag - I got the silverback and haven't looked back.

Gone through revo and pdga bags within the last 10 years and I can say that the gorilla boy is up in there in terms of durability and quality. The 100 cordura is similar and the stitching is well done. I have yet to have a complaint on my current silverback.

Considering it's a one man show with Gorilla boy as opposed to a factory production overseas shipped here to america for the middleman - I have to say its nice to go direct to the source for bags instead of someone who outsources them and waits on the 3rd party to help u out.

Plus innova liked the gorilla boy concept so much that they r "borrowing" chris's ideas and making their new "current" bags almost an exact knockoff of the kong version..

My everyday bag is a Gorilla-Boy Squirrel Monkey...

My Tourney bag is a Silverback...

Best Damn bags period...

1000 Cordura...  bullet proof and light as all get out...

Much Love for the Gorilla...

SDGC has given away about 6 of them now at tourneys and there are 9 of these bags among our club...

A sponsor of ours, you can follow the GBDS Sponsor link at our website www.discgolfclub.org

There was an interesting conversation about Chris's [read Gorilla-Boy] bags between him and Dave-Mac at the MPPP earlier this year... it is up to either of those two to go into the details...

But it was interesting... ;)

Phenix Disc Sports is proud to announce the release of their New Disc Golf bag...THE CORE.  This bag was designed for the player to the touring pro.  You are able to change the set up of the bag based on what you need for the day.  Long course, attach more pockets, short J-Town like course, strip it down to the basics.  For a truly BOMB proof bag you can choose to make it HARD CORE.  Same bag, with all the same accessories, big difference is that the bottom of the bag has been treat with Line-X truck bed lining material.  Yes the real thing.  Bag just very ell last for ever.
