Adler Park Fall League

David Nelson is going to run fall league this year. It starts tomorrow.

I will be taking registrations for Rockford tomorrow night.

Last night was one of the craziest doubles round I have played. 14 players in the rain. Got stuck in the 6 some. We started at 5:10 and finished at 7:50. Played holes 2 thru 8 in the pitch black.

At least there's fewer rules when playing in pitch black. Don't have to worry about the little things like foot faults, holing out, etc.

That is funny because I had thrown a drive on #5. I located it then went back to help the other 2 groups look for discs. When we walked up my partner Miguel nailed an awesome jump putt from about 50 ft. He handed me the disc and I was like wtf, this isn't my disc. It was a putter from another groups upshot. We find my disc up a tad further. Miguel nearly replicated the shot with it bouncing out.

glow doubles will be starting a week or two after reg. dubs are over starting time around 630

last week adler fall dubs 10/21/08 . ace was hit last week by al bingham for 108 dollars. we will be handing out the winnings this last week for points . in the upper pool brett is in first and al is in second. in the lower pool billy is in first and roman is in first.

glow dubs will be starting soon out at adler so bring a flashlight in case your disc gets lost with the light on it and if you want to get the little bobber lights for your discs either go to dicks or go to bass pro the both should have them.

we are now getting glow dubs going at adler park start time is 6 pm evry tuesday night we are keeping track of points and ace for the 8 week league which started lat week

Have you guys run glow leagues out there before? The park officially closes at dusk and they used to enforce it. Back in the 90's when I worked near there they were pretty cool about it. If it was a little after dusk but we told the cop we only had one or two holes left he would usually let us finish up but he wanted us out of there before it was really dark. If they aren't enforcing those rules anymore then have fun!

dunno, HP just put up signs saying the park closes at dusk but we have done glow out there for the past couple years. Adler I'm not sure about but a bunch of guys usually play a couple rounds after dubs and i don't think they have had trouble. Once they see flying UFO's though they might freak out. I've been booted out of Madison meadows a few times playing glow but it was usually after 10pm....

yea times have changed we now can be in adler pak until 930 at nite we play there pretty much all winter cuz that is the only park in the area we can be at. Round Lake police have warned us 2 or 3 times now for being there after dark .

bummer about round lake. Chado and I were out till 730 ish at fink last night. What a killer day it was, now its time for crappy weather...
