I'm starting up a League:

Madison Meadows Park
Lombard, IL
Saturdays, 10:00am
$5

I plan to be out there every week, rain or shine (or freezing cold).

Tees will be rotated between white, blue, and GOLD (my own set of Par 68 tees, pretty vicious).

$5 includes $1 for an ace pool.

6-8          2 paid, 80/20 ($19-25 FTW)
9-12        3 paid, 70/20/10 ($25-34 FTW)
13-16      4 paid, 60/25/10/5 ($31-38 FTW)
17-20      5 paid, 50/20/15/10/5 ($34-40 FTW)

I'll consider adding a Birdie Club if I have decent turnout.

Have you talked with the Park District? They are very particular about leagues with cash payouts.

I've gone out there a few separate times and waited for an hour or so, but nobody showed up.

I'd definitely tread lightly with a cash league there - if they catch wind of it don't expect a happy response from the park district.  If I've heard correctly the Wed night leagues could only go as long as they gave the cash to the park district and they issued checks to the winners?

that's correct.  When you sign up you need to sign the sheet and give your address and then sign a form saying you won't do anything illegal while in the park.  If you cashed that week, Steve would send in the information and then about 2ish weeks later a check arrived in the mail.  A wonderful system if you like crap.

I was out at Oak Brook last Sat. and there was a league playing that afternoon... 2 rounds with a 10th basket set up.

I played doubles 10AM last Sat at Oak Brook for the first time.  It was fun with a decent showing.
