So recently, I emailed Libertyville's mayor about perhaps replacing some of our baskets that need it and his second reply I got today was this:


Keith,

We did have some of the baskets in storage and our parks superintendent will check the existing baskets and see which ones need changing and switch out as time permits.  Hope it makes for a better playing experience!

Aren't those the baskets that were supposed to be installed in the first place? I remember someone saying that when they cut down from 18 to 9 baskets, they bought 9 new baskets but installed a mix of the new and the old baskets, then put the rest of the baskets, including the unused new ones, in storage.

No, they never bought new ones.  The ones in storage are from the old 9
