Hi

I have a friend I visit now and then who lives in chicago.  He just moved there from Bay City Michigan. yup that is where I am from.  We play Disc Golf at one of our three courses either in Midland, Freeland, or Mt. Pleasant. If your in the area you should contact us for a game!!

Anyway the reason I am writing this is I would like to know how to find directions to a course near by.  Nick lives in the northern part of chicago on montrose to be exact.  where would we find the nearest course?

Email me at rjkarle@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Hey Raymond,

Your nearest courses are North & Northwest from Montrose... Off the top of my head there are two in Highland Park and one in Glencoe straight up the Edens, plus at least one more in Buffalo Grove.

I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting & others will chime in.
Don't forget your towel!

I have played Midland and Freeland. Brett did also on our MI trip last year. We played league at one of them. My partner and I tied the record for best shot doubles at the course where we played league. It was the night that the Detroit area lost power. Both of those courses would be among the best courses in the Chicago area if they were here.

Whenever you're out here, just post on the pick-up games forum if you want someone local to play with.

Hi Raymond,

(...chiming in...)

I live in Chicago, a ways further north than Montrose (near Devon & Western.)

Traffic-wise Lombard is probably quicker than Buffalo Grove although Lombard's farther.

Madison Meadows is a 17-hole course (unless they've replaced basket #18 after about its 3rd theft) with quite a few alternate tees; Commons is 9 holes but has a 'backward back 9' that most locals can show you.

Directions for both are on the PDGA site.
thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??
