Just throwin' an invite to anyone who might be interested.  The Quad City Ironman is back.  Saturday, July 21st, we're going to throw 5 different courses, add 2 holes/course, and throw 100 quad city holes in one day.  If you've never played any of the QC courses, might be a good chance for you to see a few.  Everything WILL be in the shorts, for people's arms' sake, but you'll have an understanding of some QC disc golf.

Sign In: 5:30 – 6:15 am at Camden 1

Tee Off at 6:30.

Order of courses:  Camden 1, Camden 2, Prospect Park, Middle Park, Credit Island

If anyone is interested, just email me at kcr@kellysmedical.com, or call me (309) 235-4934.  If needing a place to stay, I'm sure something could be worked out with some locals.  We're limiting the field to 60 players (3 per card) for speed of play, so we will 'limit' the field based off pre-registration promises.  I doubt we'll get that sort of turn-out...but who knows?

$20 entry (this is low key, low cost...all about fun disc golf).  $1 goes toward Ace, $2 goes toward a 'mystery holes point challenge' (explained later), $5 goes toward a commemorative towel...the rest will be paid out.

Come, bring a friend, see some QC disc golf.  (I apologize West Lake won't be in the mix, but for speed of play...that course is impossible to include.)  Just give me a call or write me, if interested.

Brett...this is your kind of gig!

Sincerely wish I could as that course line up sounds like too much fun. The next IOS tournament was forced to change venue to a course that I'm active with. While I'm happy see tournament play where I've invested so much time, I'm sad I'll miss this opportunity to beat myself silly against some of the QC's finest.

Next year.

Doesn't seem to be 'all that much' interest, but if there is lingering interest...notify me.  We've got 43 pre-regged, so don't want you to miss out if you were planning on just showing up.  It could possibly fill.

For those of you who don't know: Tom McManus is a pimp.  Great guy, great help, great player.  Thanks for joining us, Tom.

This was a true Ironman event. The first round started at about 6:35 AM and the group that I was in finished up in the dark after 9:00 PM.  Five courses, 100 holes, lots of fun.

If you have not been out to the Quad Cities, it is a a place to add to your list.  Camden Two is a great course. No tee signs out there yet, so find a local to play with when you go.

Camden Two is similar to Big Brother up in Sparta, without the open holes.  17 of the 18 holes are wooded, but not super tight gaps.

Prospect was a fun course, that course is similar to Rum Village in South Bend, an old city park with lots of big trees.

Overall a great day.  K.C. and the Quad City group did a great job.  Chris Sprague and his group has done a fantastic job with Camden Two.
