DIScontinuum will be teaching disc golf this summer!  We will host two 4-week classes at Bevier on Tuesday evenings from 6-7pm, I think.  The WPD charges $20 per person per session, splitting the money 30/70 (30%-WPD, 70%-club) with the club. The club will give a free disc (club stamp if still available) and a certificate to anyone who completes all 4 weeks.  Between Brett and myself, we have enough used discs for half the county to play.

I will lead this class, but will need help. (Club officers will please discuss this more at the April meeting.) Each 1-hour class will spend 20 minutes on general disc golf info/rules/etiquette/instructions, 20 minutes on specific techniques, and 20 minutes on guided throwing.  This last portion will include the most intensive 1-on-1 instruction.

Week 1: General Intro / Body Motion

Week 2: Driving

Week 3: Putting

Week 4: Approaching /Conclusion.

Each participant will receive a club "Disc Golf InfoPak" as well.

Anyone interested in helping, please let me know.

Jim,

Although hardly an accomplished player, I would be interested in helping out.

I came across the strangest thing after this was brought up last time.  Disc Golf Lesson Plans for grades 6-12.  I don't how much use they will be, I suspect it would have to be modified pretty seriously, but it had some interesting ideas for lessons.

At any rate, count me in!

Yeah, that one cracked me up.  Extra credit I guess.   I would have changed that to: "nail a 20ft putt".   As long as 35% is passing, I'm good.  ;)
