I'm headed out to the Quad Cities Sunday the 26th to play a Super Class tourney at Camden in Milan, IL. If you're not familiar with Super Class, it's essentially play using old school discs, vintage late '70s early '80s. The PDGA has a Super Class page with a bunch of information and resources including a link to a list of allowed discs at http://www.pdga.com/super-class. This is a sanctioned tournament though there is no fee for non-PDGA or non-PDGA current participants. Rounds are rated but as Super Class specific rounds thus they don't effect your regular rating. Super Class plays differently than main stream disc golf in that the discs are much slower and less stable so the game becomes more one of clean form and strategic placement. I can't say as I'm any better at Super Class than mainstream disc golf but I enjoy the change of pace.

Any takers?

It's confirmed that play will be on Camden I for the morning round and Camden II for the afternoon round with most or all pins in the short positions (good thing when a 250' air shot is a solid huck with SC discs). I'll be leaving DeKalb ~7:00 AM and at present am travelling solo so the passenger seat is open should anyone decide to give this a whirl (and the jump seats in back for that matter).

From Chase, the TD:

Sign in: 9-10 a.m.

Price: $20/ all divisions

As always, SuperClass is laid back.

No PDGA # required to play, but if you have a number you will get a rating, which is seperate from your normal rating.
