DougEDawg,

Thanks for the input.  The VALUE the Scepter brings to your round when you have it with you is immeasurable.  Water, thickets, brambles, trees...you name it.  On a casual round, skip the lie when its in poison ivy, snatch it with the Scepter and play on without the rash.  Feel like emptying your bag on a hole to practice approaches...go ahead, no bending over repetatively to shag them up.

Multi-purpose piece of disc golf gear.

As for the price...I'm not quite sure you understand what is involved in the manufacturing of one.  There are several steps in the process with cost of goods expenses at each step.  We are constantly searching for the right price point that the market will bear...many suggestions have been made as to what the price should be, so what we try to focus on is the value it will bring your game.

Thanks again, and have a great new year!  Heading out soon to throw my last round of 2010!

Jeff

Good morning to all, and thank Heavens it's Spring in Illinois.  Missed doubles at Lippold last night, but hope to make next week's with it being Spring Break.

I just wanted to jump back on here to do some selfless promotion for Whirld Sports and our products.   If you haven't thought about us in a while, please go the the updated site and storefront and take a look around.

http://whirldsports.com/  and http://www.store.whirldsports.com

We enjoyed an extremely successful trip to The Memorial early this month and sold out of our supply of Scepters.  The momentum is building, and the value it brings to your practice and your rounds is being seen...especially with all the water and fencing that surrounded those courses.  I re-read this thread and saw that there was discussion about the pricing, so I wanted to send you to this link on dgcreview where we gained a very happy customer.  Please take a look at the beginning of the thread, read through it, and then see what she said once she got her Scepter.  Completely unsolicited, which is why we'd love for others to hear what she has to say.  The link is http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31081

I also want to mention the NexTEEs!  Dana will have a set with him for the Pine Hills Experiment this Saturday to help competitors navigate through the course.  Let me know if you have any questions about them for your course.

Thanks!

Jeff
