Quarterly Summary

Just thought I'd post a current summary of what's going on with the club:



-Widdershins Open June 7th

-Illinois Open August 10th - PDGA C-Tier

-8 Safaris out of 12 remain

-Bevier Blast September 20th

-About 30 club discs remain for sale

-24 out of 25 BagTags have been sold and the program is working well

-Online registration for membership and tourneys using PayPal has been set up and is now in operation (Thanks, Jay)

-Club DISCussion Board has 41 members and sees multiple new guest users most days (Thanks, Mirth)

-Club website has been stable, easy-to-load, and updated frequently by Mirth and Jay

-Fairfield Park Improvement Project is more than half complete, as we are adding new limestone teepads, skirting the baskets and some fairways with woodchips, and replacing and repainting baskets (Great job, Brett)

-3 new holes and baskets will be installed in HPC DGC at Bevier Park this month (Thanks, Waukegan Park District)

-Disc Golf Classes (2 sets of 4-week sessions) will be taught by DISContinuum in conjunction with the Waukegan Park District from June to August

-Winter League ended with a profit and no squabbles

-Spring League is seeing GREAT attendance and is paying out well and making money too

-Summer League starts June 8th

-NEW Spring-Summer Individual League begins Wednesday, May 14th (we need someone to run it)

-Junior League starts June 14th (either Pizza Hut or SunKing will sponsor)

-Club has incorporated as not-for-profit corporation

-Everyone's having FUN!!!



I hope this gives folks a good idea of just how much stuff we have going on. Please volunteer for something this summer, whether it be to help out at a tourney or at Junior Leagues or just to clean up a course. Without YOUR help and support, we wouldn't be able to offer as many of the events which we happily do. and THANKS to all those people who have brought us this far!!!
