With the broken bridge and today's rain will we have a problem next Friday if the creek is no longer dry?

mirth

The pond was several inches low last weekend & if we don't get any more rain I suspect it will be dry enough to walk across.

Also, the bridge isn't unusable.... its in essentially the same condition as last spring where the left side is dipping down. Walk on the right side.

Anyone want to walk across while I'm on it?  ;D

The bridge is gone, broken up into 3 or more pieces and washed downstream.
There is a wobbly makeshift bridge in the middle of the fairway but the next time it rains it'll be gone too.
If wpd can provide the materials I'm sure we could build a new bridge....
Don't forget your towel!

It may take some time but the park district has parts from an old bridge they plan to install.

Adrian has an ancor made for hole #4. Not sure when we'll install it but hopefullly soon.

Brett just called to report that WPD left him a message to let him know that in preparing for Scott's tournament this weekend a bunch of course work has been done....

Limestone work around the baskets
Mowed holes 6-11
Cleared lots of junk out of the creek
Built a new bridge :)

Three cheers for the Waukegan Park District!

Thank you Waukegan Park District! At least someone in Lake County gets it.

Jim Klem,

Do you still have the other bench that you built?  We could pour it in place with some quikcrete. I could get a couple of bags. Now is a good time to dig some holes, with all the rain the ground has softened up quite a bit.

Let me know.

CEValkyrie

I got out to Bevier after school yesterday. As seen at many courses I painted part of the basket pointing towards the next tee. I'm going back out today to do some finishing work. By next spring there should be New tee signs for all the holes and some next tee signs as well.

We are still trying to get #4 basket moved before the ground freezes.

Well I better get up there right away with a bucket of challengers and finally ace that hole before  you move it.  ^-^

Hey - a new bridge - GREAT NEWS!!!
Woo-hoo!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I do have that small bench - still haven't finished modifying it yet.
Let me see if I can get something finished by Saturday, then get it in the ASAP.
However, I've got a sick kid at home, so I cannot promise.

Does the new bridge span the thinnest part of the creek or did they place it where the old bridge was?
Can't wait to see it!

The new bridge is a little bit south of where the old bridge was originally located.

Thanks for the scoop, Tom.
I have not completed the second bench and will not get to it this weekend.
The weather is just too nice not to get out and throw!
