In addition we are excited to announce that the Pekin Visitor's Bureau has come on as a major sponsor. We are really grateful for both of these organizations stepping up.

In conjunction with this announcement we are happy to announce that we will add at least $7,000 to the pro purse. This number is climbing every day.

In addition, we are excited to announce that the first 100 AM's to register will get a custom stamped Roc 3 in their player's packs. More and more registrations are coming in so get signed up today!

Quick update:

-Added cash to pro divisions will be at least $7500
-We couldn't get Prodigy to respond to our request for a custom stamped tournament disc and so we went with Discraft for one of the four discs and the choices will be of the following: Cryztal Buzz, Comet, Drone (we will still have Prodigy discs for sale)
-Box4discs will be donating 40 deluxe boxes for a win your card Saturday prize
-We are happy to announce that the Bloomington Normal Disc Golf Club has come on board as a sponsor
-We are also happy to announce that this tournament will be an AM Nats qualifier!

Ledgestone

Picked up a couple more sponsors for the tournament...Midstate College and Mangold Ford. The amount of added cash will continue to grow. The AM player's pack is looking awesome. Get signed up today to reserve your spot!

Ledgestone

Picked up some more sponsors and we can now say that we will have at least $9000 added to the pro purse. Also, the AM player's pack is four discs and more! Thanks to the following for coming on board as sponsors: Savvy Graphics, Innova, Discraft, and Gracies.

On Saturday Gracies Chicago Grille will be serving food, drinks, etc at Morton. Be prepared to get some of their awesome food as he will be serving barbecue, burgers, pulled pork, hot dogs, homemade chips, etc.

We are approaching 50 registrations and we are hoping to pass last year's total of 192. We talked with a lot of top pros last weekend at Worlds and its looking like a lot of top pros will show up again. Get signed up now to help us out with the players packs and food!

Ledgestone

We are excited to announce the addition of two more sponsors: huk lab and Soul Flight. In addition, I have personally added another $1000 to the event and have guaranteed that our added cash will be at least $10,000 for the event. We are getting more and more registrations every day so please sign up!!

Ledgestone

Happy to announce that Will Schusterick will be attending our event again this year! Also we wanted to give a quick update on the raffle: we should have a ton of stuff in the raffle, including huk lab items, discraft items, innova goodies, hotel giveaways, bags, baskets, shirts, visors, discs, restaurant gift certificates, collector items, and more! Also, Johnnie Harrison is planning on running a flex start doubles tournament at Washington Park on Thursday that will be bring your own partner. Also, we have updated the reg list and continue to get more and more registrations in so get signed up today!

Ledgestone

Quick updates on the tournament:

-Registrations continue to come in. We have updated the PDGA list as well.
-Catrina Allen and Cameron Colglazier will be playing in our event so we are excited about having an awesome field.
-We are happy to announce that DGNomad.com and Advanced Energy Diagnostics/Seth Friedrich have come on board as a sponsor. We definitely have to thank all of our sponsors!
-We want to remind everyone that this event is an AM Nats qualifier.
-Some people have been asking about the Doubles Tournament: that will take place from Noon to 6PM on Thursday and you can check in at my office, where the tournament check in is located. The cost will be $20 per player and will be best shot doubles. You will get to bring your own partner and you will just need to play with someone else. Payout will be in plastic addict bucks.
-For a quick update on the FPO added cash: As of this point in time we will be adding $750 to the FPO purse. If we get at least 6 players we will push that to $1000. At this point in time we would payout 4 players in FPO if only 5 sign up. If 6 sign up we would still only pay out 4 players. If it moves to 7 players we would pay out five. The payout would look flat at the bottom with more of the money at the top spots.

Get signed up!

Ledgestone

We are over 100 registrations and counting....make sure to get pre-registered because registration will close Wednesday night.

Here is a link to some awesome Vibram Open Laces and Ridges we will have for sale for $22: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10101487627205180&set=gm.497587526992130&type=1&theater

Also, if anyone is looking for a place to stay in Peoria please call the Sheraton hotel in Peoria and say you are with the disc golf tournament. Their number is as follows: 309 674 2500

Also, just so everyone knows, the AM players pack will include a clipboard instead of a water bottle.

Also, we are officially adding $1000 to the FPO purse because we do have 6 players signed up in that division.

Also, the setup at Morton for anyone playing the longs will be slightly different this year. We will play the following holes from the longs: 2, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15 and 16. I believe all of these are concrete now except for 2, 8, 10, 11 and 15.

Finally - the final 9 will have the same setup as last year. The only difference is hole 3 in the setup (Hole 6 to Hole 7's basket) will be more fair because a large dead tree in the middle of the fairway has been taken down.

Ledgestone

Note to all of the pros: right now we have $10,000 of added cash split between 37 players. This is an awesome payout! As of this point in time we will be paying out 2/3 of the women's field and the top 3 will each take home at least $365 cash with first place over $700. On the Master's side we will be paying out approximately 60% of the field and at this point in time the top 3 will get at least $260 cash with first place nearly $600. On the MPO side we will probably payout at least 50% of the field (and probably 55%) and the top 8 players will each take home at least $500 cash. Don't miss out on all of this cash! This is just a snapshot look and will change as we get more players. We make the payouts slightly more flat as well.

P.S. Jay and Des Reading will be at the event and we are excited that they are coming! They will be selling some of their stuff at the putting competition on Thursday so come on out and check them out!

Ledgestone

We appreciate all the feedback we have received regarding our tournament and we appreciate everyone supporting our event. Thanks so much for coming out!

We do plan on making a few changes to the 2014 edition and here is a list of a few things we are looking at potentially changing:
-We will attempt to avoid playing any non concrete tees.
-In 2014 we hope to provide a player's book that will include course addresses, course maps, course distances, address to the player's party, address to the putting competition, etc.
-We will be doubling the amount of water we provide on the course.
-We will look to secure a sign to display scores during the final 9 instead of announcing the scores on the tee of every hole.
-We will look to provide the putting competition free of charge to all players and look to allow only one mulligan.
-We will be instituting a policy to address ties after 54 holes before the final 9 begins to have a throw-off. This will essentially make sure we only have 4 players in the final 9 per division.
-We will be looking to add more trophies next year.
-We will look to re-tool the raffle so we can pre-draw the winners and keep the items on a table instead of taking 15 to 20 minutes drawing all the numbers while everyone watches.
-We plan on adding more player's pack items!
-We plan on changing up the course order for 2014 (Intermediates will be happy!)
-We will continue to advertise that we will take down an address for any pro player and will be happy to mail pro payouts to anyone that has to leave before the award's ceremony.
-We will try to secure a stereo system to see if we can play some music at the course during the round!

This list is not comprehensive and is subject to change. We may or may not do all of this for the 2014 tournament but we will attempt to make every effort to make changes that our tournament staff agrees upon and that we feel is best for the event.

P.S. I did speak to Andrew today and I am submitting a proposal to grant our event NT status for next season. We hope to submit this proposal in the next few days. We can say that if the PDGA grants us this status we'd be able to offer $15,000 to the pro purse. If you want this to happen send the tour manager Andrew Sweeton a message using the contact link at pdga.com
Thanks for listening!

"We will try to secure a stereo system to see if we can play some music at the course during the round!"

Please no..

http://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/section-3-player-code-conduct/31-general

Players are not permitted to have audible mobile phones or audible pagers on the course during any competitive round. In addition, personal music players and other devices must be used exclusively with personal headphones and the volume must be kept at a level so as not to be heard by other players, prevent the player from effectively interacting with his group during scorekeeping tasks, or provide a safety hazard for the player by not hearing "Fore!" calls from other players or warning blasts by the Tournament Director.

Appreciate making things better but keep it a competitive tournament please..
