I did this one yesterday just out of the blue. It is a First run pro aviar. The picture isn't very good because it's my phone and the glare makes it look like the lines on top are broken but i assure they are not.

Very nice...maybe on the under side you could put your favorite Cubs players last name and number, just like a jersey!

Although I'm a Wisconsinite, I'd root for the Cubbies before the Brewers.

Wow, that is a beautiful thing, you could make a killing selling those around here!  Now let's hope Prior can start pitching soon!

I like that jersey idea serg. I just might have to do it. And if I did a couple more in my bag i could have a whole team.

Heard this morning Prior threw 30 pitches off the mound with no pain yestarday.

Also, the lefty Dempster that we got from Florida last year is on his way back throwing batting practice every day. He's coming off Tommy John surgery but most pitchers these days seem to come back stronger. That would be a huge addition.

I showed your the picture to a couple of buddies from work.  They were wondering if you would sell the disc, or make more discs with the design.  If you did want to sell it, how much would it be?

I don't know if i'd sell this one since it is the first one i did (and there are a few imperfections in the dye and the disc since it is slightly used) but dying others is definitely a possiblity. I am at iowa until march 12th so once i get back home it'll be much easier. But i don't see a problem with doing it then and if someone really wants one i could do it here and then send it out providing i can find a good disc for it. I also started work on a retro white sox disc for my roommate for all those cub haters out there.:D

I like the Cubbies disc.  Brett keeps telling me I should do Chicago sports themes.  So far the only sports themed disc i've done is a Texas Longhorn for a Longhorns employee.

Without looking it up, my memory is saying a Valkyrie was a Norse angelic creature that hovered over battlefields and escorted slain warriors to Valhalla.

Try a google search with Valkyrie and myth in the search terms and you get something like I just said.  Here's someone's opinion:  http://www.dolls-n-daggers.com/Valkyrie.html

I cannot find any websites being run by ancient Nordics so I'm just assuming that the often repeated stuff is true.

Like playing up will help your game!

I'll have to look it up. Way back when I posted the same topic either here or on the PDGA. The dictionary I used, you could hear the words being pronounced.

and whether you realize it or not, you've all heard 'Ride of the Valkyries' from Richard Wagner's famous disc-golf opera, "Die Walküre", which is German for "that damn DX plastic doesn't last too long but this story sure does".

it's on commercials all the time and Elmer Fudd sang it. ("I'm After da Wabbit, After da Wabbit... etc.)
thanks,

My memory says that those lyrics went, "Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit now," but maybe there was more than one verse.  "The Rabbit of Seville" is the better Looney Tunes Operetta in my opinion.  Maybe we could get a good bitch thread going on which Looney Tunes Operetta is best.  Anyone voting for Duck Lake is daffy.   :D

The most memorable Ride of the Valkyrie commercial in my head is the guy sitting in the overstuffed chair with the wind blowing back his hair.  It was an ad for either his TV or his stereo system, I think.

I guess the dyed disc must have sucked.  Oh well, I like it and now I've done three with that Valkyrie on it.  I think the casuals will like it too, and the Valk is a great disc for casuals.  I will have about 50 of my own dyed discs at the Kensington.
