I thought some of you might be interested in this. I got if off the PDGA board.

Unfortunately the Midwest Team invitational had to be cancelled this year. But on the up side there will be a PDGA sanctioned B-tier singles event at Elver Park in Madison on Saturday, May 29th. I talked to Mike Newhouse yesterday and there will be all of the usual divisions offered. Price will be comparable to other WI tour events. Two rounds of 24 holes with 6 temp holes. Go to adiscsthrow.com and you can get a hold of Mike and find out more informatoin. Look for flyers at your local WI events/leagues in the next few weeks.

Pretty fun tourny...minus the rain.

Pat, Dan M., Diron and myself all were out there to play. Pretty steady rain throughout most of the first round. I think the rain stopped with about 8 holes left. Just wanted to finish the round and put warm/dry clothes on.

Diron and I were in the Intermediate Am division. Final scores ended up as follows: 2 rounds, 24 holes, Par 144

1. Woody Wendt (144)
2. Sergio Correa (145)
3. Diron Buglio (146)

Aside from a lot of missed birdie (and par) opprotunities for myself, I took 4's on my last two holes. Both should have been pars, but's that the way I was playing all day.

Dan and Pat: How did you guys finish?

I took 7th in advanced which was barely good enuf to cash.  A deuce put that hit metal and rolled all the way down the hill on #1 resulting in a 5 did not help my day.

I think everyone had one of thoes days Serg.

I took back-to-back bogeys on the two easiest holes there (open fairway, short)

Had we all been on top of our game, I'm sure the placing would be similar anyways..

I wanted that 3 on 17 though!!!

Lets see.... back to back bogeys on open short holes... Are you talking holes 5 & 6, the ones right after you get on top of the hill?
Don't forget your towel!

I was fortunate to take a 3 on 17 in the last round. I was also pin high on the long number 18...but I was about 100 feet to the left, throwing right into the wind...took a 4.

Nice

Hole 17 was a monster.

I threw my DX Roc and had a perfect line for a 2 with my KC Roc, but when it faded in it was a bit too high and ended up missing the 30' :(

Good job on that 3 on 17 Serg. See you Sunday at Parkside bro?

pat

I took 4th. O.k., so there were only 5 in my division. Sounds like I had the same problem as the rest of you. I missed at least 4 putts from 15' or so. Had I made those I would have been in 2nd place.
Oh well, next Sunday is another tourney.
