I lost a white 161g Champion Eagle, most likely in the pond but i'm not completely sure.  I tried to go for it over the stream (hole 9?) and ended up pulling off to the left, lost sight of it behind a tree and never saw it again.  Unbelievably, a guy i met there just gave me a couple discs that he didnt like, after he helped me look for a while.  What a nice kid.  Still would be nice to have that one back though, my only ace disc.

That is hole 9 for sure, and if you went off to the left your only hope is that you got stuck up in the willows... Not likely tho, sorry.

yea thats what i figured.  i didnt even realize the pond was over there when i tried to go for it, i definitely would have laid up or thrown a water disc otherwise.  oh well, looks like i'll be buying ANOTHER champion eagle, my game goes to hell without one, even with 6 other kinds of discs to choose from.

haha, all my friends that go to SIU are always yelling GO DAWGS!!

i go to U of I, i guess there is a course in Urbana but from what I hear it sucks.  looks like i'll be making some alternate tees if its a short course.

havent played the urbana course recently
but the pdga site says it has alternate tees

springfield has 2 courses that are worth playing

douglas is short but has long tees and the baskets are moved around
great for novice players and if its raining good course to practice playing in the rain

lincoln park is longer definitely worth a visit

effingham might be worth a visit also

my niece is headed down to U of I also (freshman)
stay away from her  (LOL)

well i dont have a car down at school, and my roommates' car just died...  looks like my only outings down at school will be when i can find someone else interested in going-  maybe on weekends.  i think the course is like 3 miles away, my roommate ran there and played it; but then again he's a long distance runner.  i'm getting as much playing time in as possible while i still can, managed to shoot -5 in nine holes last night at buffalo grove, and someone i was playing with aced 7.  not a bad outing.
