I hear you Mirth.  There aren't any gimme deuces.  I didn't birdie at all in our 18 hole bag tag match today and felt alright only taking 3 bogey strokes.  Even par or better is an excellent score out there.  This is what we need in this area.  You've got a deuce or die course within 5 miles if you are anywhere north of the city

I'd agree, the course does NOT flow well at all and some direction is needed.  Also, having hole 4 be hole 1 and renumbering accordingly wouldn't be a bad idea.  Then we could park over in that lot and be close to the 1st and last hole.

walking from 3 to 4 is like a block..... we just spent half the time looking for flags on the ground....
but it was a cool course just needs to flow a lot better

You can park there, start on 4 and finish on 3 even if they don't renumber the course. Really, you can. I give you permision!

My brother and a few friends were out there today and he says that basket 8 and 9 are missing, Does the park district know? were they the ones that took them out?

They must have pulled them for winter. I was hoping they'd wait until closer to December.

They'll probably be back in late March.

Some teesigns are now installed in concrete.
No concrete teepads yet.
Holes 8 & 9 are out and unplayable as dozens of metal posts are in the ground.

I noticed that there are two courses in Gurnee (Warren Township Park and Warren Township Center) that were listed in the PDGA's course directory.  Are these two courses one-in-the-same, or are there plans for another nine?  Can anyone clarify?

If someone gets a chance today can you call Warren Township to find out if the last 2 baskets are going in? It looks like the tee pad to #9 has been filled with grass. I'm locked in the gym area due to a code blue. Listen to AM 1220. It's funny as hell.

Whiile at Warren today I checked out holes #8 & #9. They have filled in the tee pad areas with dirt & grass has been growing. The have also taken out the anchors & filled them with dirt. It looks like another course in Lake County has been cut to 7 holes .

thanks alot Warren Township!  Why buy all those baskets and put in all those tees just to immediatley cut the course to 7 holes?  thats hardly worth the trip there to play.  what a worthless use of some pretty good land.

maybe they're redesigning the last two holes since they lopped the top off the sled hill? don't jump to conclusions too quickly...
