There will be a few modifications to leagues in 2005.

1. The payout chart will be altered slightly. I'll post it after the next club meeting.
2. The ace pool will roll over from one league to another. The club will no longer take half the money. There will be a cap on the ace pool. That has yet to be determined.
3. Any ties for points will be resolved the final day of leagues with a sudden death playoff. If one player is not present, the player that is present will be awarded that place. If both (all players) are not present, there will be a skill game conducted on the phone.

When you say the ace pool will have a cap I assume you mean that once the ace pool reaches some arbitrary amount (say $150), then a second ace pool is started and when an ace is hit there will be $150 payed out and then the ace pool instead of starting over at $0 would start at whatever amount had been put into the ace pool since it reached $150?  That was a really long sentence.  I know we have talked about this, but I thought I'd try to clarify for anybody who wasn't sure what an ace pool "cap" would be.

I think it should be whoever can play the melodic solo from master of puppets using the touch-tone wins..

Possibly trivia or maybe as simple as... Pick a number between 1-100.

In the past it's taken way too long to get playoffs done when people are not there.

Picking a number between 1 and 100, technically, isn't a skill game.

How about paintball with soft putters.  dip 'em in paint and throw at the other guy.  Most color on your clothes and you lose.  We could have side bets on the warfare. It could be more fun to do it at night without glowsticks.  light up the guy, but not the disc.  You can't see it coming!

The skill involves mind reading so you pick the right number & not guess :D .

I'm just guessing here but I think if the people who are tied are close enough to each other to throw putters at each other, then they would be close enough to actually have the playoff which is the first option in the event of a tie.

rationality is just the type of hobglobbin that keeps these competitions so serious.  If I wanted seriousness I would be at work.  Hey, I am at work...I would rather be...playing paintdisc

Better yet, (since we're talking on-the-phone) why not the correct PROUNOUNCIATION of Comincioli!

since we're talking golf here, we need to look to the least amount of strokes.  How about pronouncing "Comincioli" in the least amount of syllables?
