From the reports on pdga.com it sounds like a very understable turnover roller.  I have not seen one yet.  It does not sound like the next hot disc.  It sounds more like a flash in the pan.

Nick from leagues was throwing the Sidewinder alot last week at Fairfield.  That thing would turn over nicely and glide a loooong way when he threw it.  I haven't thrown one yet, but would like to experiment with it at some point.  I can tell that it is definitely understable.

I got one today from Innova as my Christmas gift.  They did not say, "Do not open 'til Christmas," so I opened it up.  It is red and has a cool Santa stamp on it.  Kelsey and I will throw it tomorrow at a football field we are going by and I'll tell you what I can.  Since I am throwing lefty, and Kelsey is throwing girly, we'll be able to give it a good Chick-Rec review.

We stopped at a football field and threw the Sidewinder.  What we learned is that if you throw it downwind in 16 degree weather with 30 miles per hour wind, leave it there because its too cold to walk back against that wind.  You could die!

Today's conditions did not offer a fair test but it was more understable than a 150 Flick.  For me, RHBH, the 150 Flick will turn right with normal driving power so the Sidewinder is really understable.  

I still think that this will be a low demand disc, but in the 160s I could see it being a good driver for women and children.  And if you prefer a turnover roller, this will turn over and roll.  I prefer to roll stable plastic.

I thought that the flick was supposed to be overstable, why are we comparing the two.

I got a 167g Sidewinder last week.  If you like to back hand roll and want a champion disc for the job this will do.  I kept burning the disc, even when I played the anhyzer or played the disc to turnover.  

I agree that this disc will be good for people who don't generate a lot of snap on their discs.

It has a ton more distance than the glide.  It would be a good disc for #10 at Fairfield.

The Glide is more of a blunt edge mid-range disc. The Sidewinder is marketed as a long distance driver and has the sharper edge characteristic of long range drivers.  

The Sidewinder doesn't have a lot of resistance to turn. If you normally throw more than 400 feet on flat ground, you will flip this disc out of the box. As such, it makes a great backhand roller.

Weaker armed throwers will like this disc for long anhyzers. They may also get a nice hyzer flip out of it; thrown with a lot of hyzer angle, it will flip flat and glide for great distance. No matter what the thrower, this disc will turn hard if thrown into even a light headwind.

Granted I wasn't throwing full strength, but it flew very straight for me. I put a piss-ton of hyzer on it on hole 8 and it held it's line the entire way and faded slowly as it dropped. N-e-a-r-l-y aced

If you don't have a lot of power the Sidewinder is an excellent, excellent driver.  I have been getting my longest drives with a red Christmas Sidewinder.  Bruce thought it was a flippy piece of crap but for me its the go-to driver except if there is a head wind.

I picked up a sidewinder at ios #1 plus a flash both are working their way into my game.

Sidewinder just resurrected my forehand I can out distance rhbh shots consistently in practice until my arm goes noodle. Total time in flight is great it likes to glide for distance. I will be buying more of these and will try a fore hand shot or two in lombard if it as open as I heard it is.

Flash disc that I also scored at IOS #1 is bad ass.. it is a club stamped model and I will get acouple more of these. Fast Ballsy weapon in Ideal conditions it is extremly controllable rhbh straight line distance you can make it go either direction easily and like the sidwinder it takes a nice flight path.

these are great discs but the name of the game is putting. Work on getting your disc in the basket from inside 30 feet and...............

When most discs are losing their speed and falling off the line, the Sidewinder just keeps on going.  But, that assumes that you aren't overpowering it for the first 100 feet.  

If there is a particular weight you want on those Flashes, I'll put them aside in a bag marked Mangler.  I'll have plenty of Flashes but if the one you bought was a Robot stamp, those are almost out.

If you have a DX Valk. you can make it into a roller, I'm sure that an Archangle would work also.  All you have to do is beat the heck out of it.  I have hit so many trees, roads, signs,...  It's a fun way to let your frustration out on a disc, and you aren't hurting it but help to make it a roller.  Also bending the Valk to make a taco and than bending it back also helps to make it flip, however, purposely hitting things with provides more enjoyment.  This way you can spend money on a new disc for distance and not a roller.

These things are awesome..

Like all discs, it's really touchy, too much here, too little here. But it is really amazing.

I parked hole 2 at adler with it today, I was playing all day but this thing is really showing promise. Then I threw it on 7 with hyzer, and not alot of power, it flipped, and came out very nicely - up on the gravel

Also been throwing it on hole 1 at adler in place of my rocs..

What a useful piece of plastic..
