Disccraft Cyclone Elite Z

Anyone have one of these?

It says thats its disccraft hottest disc and that it flies supper far. If anyone has one plz tell me what u think about it, because its alot of money (like $15 but thats alot of money if ur a student with no job).

The Cyclone use to one of my favorite discs.  They do fly straight if you do not over throw them.  However, I have never thrown a Cyclone that was an elite Z.

well, i wouldn't advise paying $15 for this disc Stewie.  You can get discs that will perform just as well for you for $12.  Where did you see it at?  If you ever see me (tall lanky good looking dude   )  then I've got some unused Champion Teebirds that I sell for $10.  These are very similar discs to the Z Cyclone and will last just as long.  If you want even cheaper stuff that still works just as good, then buy DX discs which will run you less than $10.  I'd recommend DX Beasts or DX Teebirds.

I used to throw a cyclone 'way back when' before they were making discs in the candy plastic. Actually, it was a cyclone 2.

Anyhow, if your throw (assuming right hand backhand) generates decent velocity and disc rotation then I'd recommend you check out an Innova Champion Orc, Gazelle, Discraft XL, or some of the other sharp edged drivers. Paying $15 for a disc, especially before tax, is a rip off IMO. $15 maybe after tax is tolerable if you can't find any other places to buy (local vendors, online stores like Sun King Discs, or eBay).

Yes!  I used to thow only Cyclones for my drivers when I was about 15-16.  Then the Cyclone 2 came out which was more stable.  Eventually I moved to the X-Clone for awhile too, which was much more stable.  I touched base with all the tornadic discs        also threw a typhoon for awhile.

This topic reminds me of when I started playing and cutting class to play disc golf.  Ah.......... To not have bills again would be great

I still have a circa 1995 Cyclone. It was my driver for a long time. I don't even carry it in my bag any more.  Even though the cyclone is a driver, you are most likely to see a tornado when Dan is putting.

still have purple xclone that i bring out for special occaisions

got one on the wall, it is close to a viper as it is a stable pig.  (it is 175 so maybe that is why I think it is a pig).  It is kind of like a 5 wood, more of a specialty disc.

I have a original cyclone that was my 3rd disc..  I have 6 aces with it, all at valley view..  can probobly credit that disc to turning me into a discgolf freak.

Diana loves Cyclones.  So does Ron Russell.  Diana has some lighter Z-Cyclones that are great drivers.  I cannot throw a Cyclone as far as a Crush, but a Cyclone is a little more predictable.  If you like the feel of the grip it is a great disc that has kind of been pushed aside by players who think distance is always better than accuracy.
