If you are looking at the list above, they are my discs. Dan said it's too much work to list them on the message board & meet people at courses :P .

if i'm going somewhere to play a round then its not too much work, little homo.  i don't like listing them on the message board cuz then u gotta remember to cross them off after they are gone.  sandbaggages like yourself have to go the extra mile i guess though to sell all the extra plastic that you've raped from poor illinois amateurs who are just trying to win a couple discs so they don't have to spend their whole allowance on discs and they can have something left for a Hustler or maybe a trip to Dancers   :D

It is a marketing ploy designed to create a sense of urgency.  The discs are going like hotcakes.  I better buy right now.

It just heightens the frenzy of being a "binner"  What's a binner?  Well, a bagger wins a few pieces of plastic and pulls them out of a bag while waiting in the weeds when you lose your disc.  "Hey buddy, wanna buy some Cheap #%*^& biscuits?"  A binner wins so much plastic playing in AM events that he has bins of the stuff and doesn't know what to do with it.  Martha Stewart had a good suggestion.  You and that other binner could retile your bathroom with champion plastic.  I hear it lasts a long time and resists mildew. Of course, these binners can bring the wrath of actual retailers, hence the sarcastic response calling the list a "marketing ploy" I have aspired to be a pocketer.  These types can pull a mini that they won out of their pocket and might even let you have it for free. "Yo, bro, let me mark that for you.  I won this."

Dan Michler

i'm a binner mofo, but only cuz i play so many events

These guys are my downlines.  We're on the same team.

I'm going to have a few things at IOS #5 that no one in North America has.

An unstamped Ultra Star Mini.  Quantity 1.  Price: Negotiable.

First run custom stamped Z-Avengers.  Quantity 15, I think, maybe 10.  Price 15 also.

I bought some 150 stuff for my #1 downline but since he weaseled and waffled on the last deal, you guys get first crack at the 150 Flicks, 150 Talons and 150 Storms.  The 150 Storms are not flippy.  I was really surprised.  Great mid-range for a wife, kid, old man or beginner.

I'm part of the disc golf system until the PDGA changes to trophy only or until I go pro. I'm betting I go pro before they change. I personally think the system works.

I play lots of tournaments. The entry fee has varied from $30.00 to $75.00 this year. I've spent around $400+ in entry fees this year. This does not include traveling expenses. Please, don't tell my wife  . My PDGA membership was $40.00 this year. Club membership was $15.00. It's going to cost about $1,300 to go to Rock Hill in October. Every penny is worth it since i'm doing something I love. Boy do i respect all the touring pros. They aren't making much!

I get to play PDGA events in various locations, get rated rounds, PDGA points, develop skills and confidence in competitive situations, develop relationships, and many other memories throughout the process.

My entry fee goes to am payouts and many times adds cash to the Open Division. It also supports the PDGA.  It may also put a few bucks in the pocket of the TD who busted his butt to organize the event. My entry fee may also support a club or funds to install a new course. This distribution of entry varies from each TD.

The TD orders discs from various companies. He may also order T-Shirts, Trophies, & other merchandise from other companies. He may also use a sponsor to supply his discs or player pack. He supports other businesses such as Kinkos & Office Max.

Sponsors get publicity.

Ams may get a good player pack from this sponsorship or Pros may get added cash to their division.

Manufactures make money off discs. Many of them sponsor events. Most are majors but they do sponsor some small stuff. They help promote the game of disc golf.

When I play well I win some discs. I keep some discs to throw. I sell the other discs I don't throw to players for cheap. I take that money, put it in a disc golf envelope, then play more tournaments. Sometimes I give a few discs away to strangers or kids and sometimes I donate them to the club. Sometimes I donate my league winnings back to the club or purchase memberships for various people.

Players get discs for cheap or free. They might find a disc they like and go buy a few more of them. They may even get addicted to the game and start playing tournaments.

The cycle keeps going & going. I need to do a TD poll only. Who would you rather see at your events? Ams or Pros?  I'm willing to bet they'd rather see Ams since they keep this cycle of merch, fundraising, & sponsorship going.

I know this was off topic somewhat, but I figured i'd put it here anyway.
