That's really sad.  I've seen those baskets when they have been in pretty sorry shape.  I know that there are definitely some neighbors that think it's cool because they would stop and watch me (or whoever else is with me) putt, but there's also quite a bit of houses.  Maybe they don't like the ching noise (which is one of the most beautiful sounds ever lol)... not that cutting the nylon would prevent the noise, but it might prevent you from playing the full course.

This kind of stuff is so frustrating.

I know we went back out there the other day and when my Bro in Law saw that someone had destrayed the time he spent fixing the baskets he was LIVID to say the least.  But at least whoever is doing it left the chains that he had replaced intact.

Yeah, until I went out there again last week and took notice to the fact that all 24 chains on basket #6 were cut & completely removed.  Obviously, this criminal has a lot of resources (time & money) on order to do this.  In speaking to the Superintendent of Parks for the Roselle Park District, he mentioned that he's pushing for a camera to be installed somewhere near the course.  Hopefully, we'll soon be seeing this jerk picking up trash on Irving Park Road wearing an orange vest.

It looks like all of the baskets have been repaired.  Chains have been added to the baskets that had them all cut out.  Zip ties have been used where the rings were missing.  Good to know that this course is up & functional.  Bring someone to watch your discs, as previous bloggers have mentioned.  Looks like Disc Golf Alley is hosting a tournament there on June 30th.  Here's a link:

Yep, they fixed up the course in preparation for this tournament as well as just getting it back into good shape.

We started a thread about the tournament in the Leagues & Tourneys forum, found here.

Come on out!

I missed that thread, thanks!  I'm really going to attempt to come out considering all that has gone down with this park recently.  I'm really glad to see that you guys put an event together to promote this course.
