Does anybody have a flyer for this?  When is it and is it sanctioned?

I know it usually is sanctioned, but its not on the Tour page and I'm wondering why.

I think there was a flyer for this at Mokena and it did *not* say it was sanctioned. then again, it didn't say it *wasn't* sanctioned, but I'm guessing it's not.

or not.
thanks,

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Wilbur thinks it is August 6 and 7.  The PDGA thinks it is unsanctioned.  I've e-mailed the TD at gardenman4@comcast.net

I spoke with Brian Cummings today. He assures me that the event is sanctioned even though it is not on the PDGA schedule. The dates posted above are correct. Lower pool-Sat., Upper-Sun. Lunch will be included for all players.

I got a hold of Dave Gentry, PDGA Tour Manager, today.  He says the last he heard the TD was working on getting it sanctioned.  The PDGA will take a late sanctioning request from them if they send it, but Dave has been at Pro Worlds all week.

With me anyway those guys have a reputation for running good events.  Not IOS good, but good enough that I'd go if I had nothing profitable to do this weekend and I had someone to ride shotgun.

It is too bad they did not get their stuff on PDGA.com.  We always get players who were just looking at the schedule and said, "Hey, there's a tournament in town this week.  Cool."

OK, now that that's cleared up, does anybody have the flyer?  Entry fees? player packs? What time does it start? Other pertinent info?  ;)

Anybody playing Saturday?

Dan Michler

This is now listed as a Sanctioned B tier event on the PDGA website.  I think I am going to go on Saturday.  I cannot go to the October event there and have heard good things about the course.  I am looking forward to checking it out.

Crown Point seems to be the nearest larger town.  I thought this event was at the Lemon Lake course in Cedar Lake which is near Crown Point.

It is a great course or two courses depending on what they are doing.  Parts of it are overgrown with poison ivy.  Parts of it only have some poison ivy.

I got a little info on this in e-mail today.  "Ams" on Saturday.  Pro and Advanced on Sunday.  Two rounds of 27 holes.  Extended basket positions on five of the holes on Sunday afternoon round.  Lunch is provided.

fair on Saturday. I think 44. There were 12 rec and about 25 intermediate and a couple juniors. I got beat by both of Bart's kids. Plenty of poison ivy. I had a vwry rough time in the woods and came home looking like I had been in a knife fight.

pretty good turnout on sunday.  i'd say at least 80+ players.  i think there were 38 advanced.  hutter won again with a very hot 2nd round of -14.  i had a crazy day where i blew up in the 1st round after throwing 2 in the pond on the same hole and ended up +5 after round 1 which put me almost at the bottom.  2nd round we played exactly the same tees, but i managed to improve by 14 strokes and shoot a 9 down which was the best adv. round.  ended up in 10th which was good enuf to cash.

brian cummings does an awesome job running his tourneys and there are great payouts plus he donated a free lunch for everybody.  The Homie will be run the same way in October so i highly recommend everybody play that event.  plus the course is sweet which really helps too.
