I'm looking to buy a disc golf basket with my next paycheck, I'm willing to spend around $100-$250. I was curious if anyone knows any good deals on any good baskets in thoes ranges..

You may also be able to get a skillshot thru eBay.

The DGA M-14 is a slightly less portable but larger basket.

I've seen a basket on ebay that has a buy it now for $80.00 & $20.00 S&H. It looks like a decent basket. Has great feedback & 1 guy responded. Looks like you may even be able to add inner chains fairly easy.

saw a pretty solid basket this weekend made by lightning disc.  Weighs about 50 pounds and is pretty solid for years of outdoor use.  Not sure on the price but heard that it was under 160.

I have a disccatcher that is great for the yard and a skillshot that is always in the trunk for playing anywhere/anytime.  Catches good but easy to get pinched by opening and closing.  Got a good blood blister this past weekend from mine.

I was thinking of power tools that you feed like a planer or a table saw. I was thinking that as "guiding" but I guess that's more like feeding. But generally think of the fingers on your non-throwing hand as expendable appendages.

non-throwing hand is used as a guide for ripping stock or fine touches with a jig saw, so guiding is correct.  well you both are right, so you both get a gold star for safety.

Now how about those cheap baskets.  I saw a few homemade ones made out of cedar.  Really sweet looking...  caught great also.  Adrian has a truck rim basket that is pretty awesome.

Um...Yeah!!!  Sunking has the Ching Skill Shot for $99+tax for Discontinuum members.  It's a great deal cuz they're usually $109+tax.

Lesson for you youngsters out there. ALWAYS keep your throwing hand away from the pinch points on your skillshot when opening and closing them. That's what your non-throwing hand is for. Also, always use your non-throwing hand to guide power tools, feed the wood chipper, etc.

Clearly Jon does not own or use power tools.  Use your throwing hand to guide the tool.  Use your non-throwing hand to hold the piece of wood steady.  It's the wood-holding hand that's in jeopardy, kids.

Wow, I wonder if he gives an additional discount for birthday boys?  Mine is the 22nd.  Hmmm...

And given my putting over the last, oh, say, 11 months, I could probably really use one of those, too!

Hello All!

What a great topic! I'm glad to see some of you are not only receiving the newsletter but also reading it. The basket prices that have been quoted thus far are accurate. To my knowledge, I know of no source that offers top of the line baskets for any lower price lower.

Check out www.cheapdiscgolfbaskets.com for more answers to your questions!

Thanks!
