OK, we settled on Sundays for Spring Best Shot League.  But I know at least 2 people cannot make it on Sundays. We can't break up a random draw league into 2 days because that would limit possible partnering, and to have 2 Best Shot leagues simultaneously might divide any hope of drawing a large crowd on one day. Hmmmm.....

How about this: We keep the Sunday league as is.

We add a Glow round on the 1st and 3rd Friday nights (pending approval). Then we can have another casual round (either Best Shot or individual) on the 2nd and 4th Saturday morningsaround 9am, say for $3 per player / winner take all.

As usual, Best Shot scores & points get tallied for end-of-league prizes.  Do you want Glow League to be similar or just "de jour"?

I think these proposed Saturday rounds should be seen as pick-up rounds, instead of a league.  Some more casual players might be more willing to play that - you know, less pressure, etc.

WHAt DO YOU THINK?

Curious... why always morning leagues? I know a couple people who would come if their sleeping-in time wasn't disturbed. Of course, my opinion is that if they don't love disc golf enough to wake up for it, then they can go to hell! Well, not really... :)

Seriously, tho, why do we have leagues in the morning? An afternoon or two would be nice...

Glow round: Not a bad idea. Personally, between a separate glow league, best shot sunday, tourneys, and other random games with friends during the week I doubt I could get any more time from the boss (read: wife) for throwing circular objects at stationary targets. Keep in mind that we already have 42-odd weeks of league planned for 2002...

I agree with Brett that individual play is good. After all, we can't play better in best shot if we can't hone our skills - and I know there have been plenty of shots (long putts especially) that my partners in fall best shot took and made that I wanted to take a crack at.

Skins, $.25/hole doesn't sound bad. For 18 holes you'd put out a total of $4.50
Don't forget your towel!

Yep.  I think this is going in the right direction!  More input!

OK - how's this:

Spring Best Shot - Sundays 9:30am

Spring Skins - Saturdays 1:30pm

Glow Shot - every other Friday night 8:00

Don't forget about the Safari Series later this year as well!

Summer Best Shot - Thursdays 5:30pm

Autumn Best Shot - Saturday mornings 9:30am

Autumn Skins - Sundays at 1:30pm

If that's not enough, you must be single! :-)

I like that idea of casual play on Saturday (Winner take all). I think the glow league should be individual play as well. Maybe keep the glow league separtate from all leagues but post results. No prizes to award except winnings that night. Just bragging rights. I would like play more individual rounds. I need the practice & I find myself relying on my partner all the time. I've had some good partners in the best shot.  I think this will push all of us to get better. Later

I'm all in for skins. $025 a hole would be sweet. Mirth has a good idea about afternoon events. I could make it in the afternoon. How does everyone else feel? I wouldn't want to spend every Saturday afternoon doing it but every other would be fine with me.

Jim,

I like that schedule. Lots of golf to be played. By the way. I think my wife wants me out of the house. The more disc golf the better.

So this Saturday is quarter a hole skins. Do you play in groups of 4 or 5, and the skins are only good for that group? Or do you wait until everyone is finished, then go by the scorecard per hole to find out the winnings? I'm new to this skins thing, but it sounds fun and I was planning on showing up. Enlighten me, please!
