OK, with that last event's points finally posted, I ended the year with 1073 points.  Anyone got an educated guess as to whether or not that will get me an invite to Milwaukee next year?
That kid is back on the escalator!!!

If I understand this right, that puts you 58th out of 170.  You need to be better than 43rd out of 170 to get the invitation.

Tim,
Check the thread I just bumped under the PDGA thread. You should get an automatic invite with 1700 points. Last year 1000 was the cutoff. That might go up this year but not that much.

The 2006 Illinois Open Series included four of the 20 best attended tournaments in the PDGA last year.  We did not get credit for it in the DGW because we run split day events.  Here is a partially corrected list of the PDGA Top 14:

04/01-02/06   Bowling Green Am Champs..........0   554   554
07/25-29/06   PDGA Am Worlds........................0   545   545
03/03-05/06   The Memorial..........................206   177   383
08/09-12/06   PDGA Pro Worlds.....................299   0   299
07/29-30/06   IOS #4 Forest City Frenzy..........48   176   224
06/09-11/06   KC Wide Open..........................93   131   224
08/19-20/06   San Francisco Safari..................60   156   216
05/27-28/06   Greater Des Moines Challenge....77   137   214
04/08-09/06   PDGA Am World Doubles.............0   210   210
06/24-25/06   IOS #3 The Crystal Cruise.........34   175   209
06/10-11/06   Steady Ed's Birthday Memorial...48   160   208
04/22-23/06   IOS #1 at Kenosha....................41   162   203
05/20-21/06   IOS #2 at Lombard...................35   167   202
06/03-04/06   Minnesota Majestic....................85   111   196

Yeah, that sucks. What's their take on this? Is it because someone could play up a division one day & come back the next?

Bruce Brakel

Rick Rothstein said that once, but since they treat NT/As the same as split days, it looks like they just have a way of sorting raw PDGA data by number of players and they publish that.  For example, they also treated the Memorial as two tournaments, bumping it out of its rightful spot at #3.  No one could play in two divisions at the Memorial.  Similarly they treated the Texas States as two tournaments.  Texas States is a A/B, not a split day.  So anything for which the PDGA charges one sanctioning fee but requires two TD reports gets reported as two tournaments.

You would think that grouping them together would put up bigger attendance numbers which would be more attractive to Sponsors. But it's easy to armchair quarterback.

Rick told me it is a PDGA thing and he just reports them as they are reported to him.

I updated the list at PDGA.com on the thread there where I'm soliciting nominees.
