Was curious to see what molds were most popular.  If the club was to carry one giant bag, here's what would be in it (only listed discs with 5 or more carried by people who posted, counted all multiples when people carried more than one of a mold, and didn't divide by type of plastic as not everyone listed):

Drivers:
30 Orcs
20 Firebirds
18 T-birds
17 Wraiths
14 Sidewinders
13 Valks
12 Crush
11 Eagles
11 Flicks
10 Beasts
10 Leopards
9 Viking
9 Starfire
7 Avengers
7 Flash
5 Monsters
5 Banshees
5 Whippits

Innova - 176 - 83%
Discraft - 37 - 17%

Mids:
39 Rocs
17 Buzz
9 Wasps
5 Gators
5 Coyotes

Innova - 49 - 78%
Discraft - 14 - 22%

Putt and Approach:
35 Aviars
8 Rhynos
7 Challengers
6 Wizards
5 APX Swirls
5 Jujus

Innova - 43 - 64%
Discraft - 13 - 19%
Gateway - 6 - 9%
Ching - 5 - 8%

343 total discs in that bag, can I get a caddy???

A couple of observations:
1  Why so many drivers an so few mids and putters?
2  Innova is a lot more popular than at first glance for discs people actually carry and use.
3  Looks like I really only need to carry a couple of orcs, rocs, and aviars.
4  I have way too much time on my hands.   :icon_eek:

Answer to question 1 is easy.  The disc companies make a ton more different drivers than they do different mids and putters.

I imagine they do this cuz the range of drivers is much greater than the range of putters and mids with relation to speed and stability (and high speed turn Neal).  Most people only carry 1 or 2 different mids and putters, but carry atleast 4 different drivers.

Yes u do need an Orc  :D

Here's my current bag, although I'm still new and trying out a bunch of discs I recently purchased...

Drivers:
CE Beast 174g
CE Valkyrie 171g
Z XPress (?g) - have a sidewinder and roadrunner on the way to try out how those will do in comparison
DX Dragon 150g (for days that I still feel like a newb)
DX Orc 168g (I think).  I haven't thrown this one yet.
Z XS (?g) - just testing out this disc.  That and the Elite Z-Avenger.

Mid Range:
Pro-D Hawk
Pro Line Cobra 175g
KC Pro Roc (I think it's KC... too lazy to go get my bag and check)

Putters:
DX Aero 174g
DX Rhyno 175g
DX Aviar P&A 168g

Innova 9/12 - 75%
Discraft 3/12 - 25%

I have a whole bunch of new ones on the way to check out, including a Star Wraith, CE Roadrunner, CE Sidewinder, CE Rhyno, Challengers, Sabers, Wizards, and all sorts of other interesting stuff :)

well, my PDGA stuff came in today.  so that was pretty cool.  they're giving elite X storm.  i don't know if i'll be using it much, but it feels pretty good, so it'll probably be added to my current arsenal of five...

orc? what is the deal with the orc, ive never thrown one, but ive heard such great things, is it really overstable? let me know

Dan Michler

No, the Orc is not really overstable.  It is a high speed disc that I feel I can make alot of different shots with.  It is my primary driver.

I dont know about really overstable but it does have good speed and a nice predictable fade.

Great poll.  I'm surprised by the overwhelming majority for Innova.  I've always favored Discraft (especially for drivers), but I feel like everyone ends up with a Roc and an Aviar in their bag.  And I love the XD.

I like the Orc because it is somewhat stable. I've found in moderate wind (15mph & under)  it's still predictable.  It is fast and has great glide. It is my main distance/control driver. I find I can throw a Wraith a tad farther but have way more control over the Orc.
