I am looking for a new bag to hold my discs.  I had an old Innova tour bag and it is starting to rip in many places.  I was wondering what bags people have and if they like them?  Price is not soo much of a factor, I just want it to last for a while. What do you guys recommend?

Revolution bags are the way to go. Be sure to get a team bag with the tougher material on the bottom.
Gateway bags look good too.

If you want to go Gateway I can probably get you a deal...

Revolution is probably the highest quality disc golf bag.  I've been using a cordura Plano bag for the last three years and these are great quality too, but they are not a disc golf bag.

I'll put my two cents in ....

I got the Gateway Backpack bag for Christmas this past year and I like it a lot  ;D
I have an old Discraft bag and a quadshock, but never liked how the quad held the bag down by my butt ...
The backpack bag carries my discs higher on my back and there's times I don't even realize I'm wearing it, and when crawling thru trees to find my shot the bag doesn't flop around either.  I've played a few rounds this winter in the snow and drizzle and my discs have stayed dryer due to how the bag's shape is.  I'm the odd one here in Joliet anyway, Discraft and all, so I'll let them give me grief.  One league day I was told that my "Bookbag looked cute" .... whatever ... we do what we like in this world.

Has anyone tried the Lightning Deluxe Bag?  It holds quite a number of discs, which can make it heavy.  I'm not too concerned about the weight though because carrying around a heavy bag (of any kind... disc bag or other) is nothing new to me.  I currently use a PDGA standard bag, and I can only squeeze 12 discs in there.  I'd like to be able to carry around more than that, especially when I want to test out some new ones.

Thanks,
Scott

I had it, and destroyed it.  Also went through a Discraft team bag.  Now I've got a Revolution and it is 10X better than either of the other ones.  I just wish it had some dividers or something in the pockets.  Theyre huge.

Lightning has had quality problems.  I sold a lot of Lightning bags two years ago.  Two of them broke down promptly without any player abuse.  The rest I heard no complaints on.  Some of them I know are still in service.

Lightning was good about replacing the one bag that was expensive enough to bother with.

Revolution bags are the shiznit!!  If you are considering an Innova or Lightning bag, I think you are better off with a Dominick's grocery bag which is free.  Just double bag it and your good to go!

I went from a wall city bag to a lightning deluxe before getting my gateway. The lightning started to fall apart the weekend I got it (disc dividers), and the seams where the straps attach began to rip less than a year later.

I have a PDGA tour bag that's been holding up quite well. It has dividers for 15 discs in the main section, putter pocket on front
and a couple more putters can be put in one of the two end pockets.

There are extra loops that look like you could put quads on them, but I don't think they go around enough and I have a feeling the might rip out so I attach my quads where the shoulder strap usually attaches. Those connectors are attached to webbing that goes all the way down. Works great.

On the inside of the bag, I noticed that the velcro for the dividers was snagging the fabric on the inside. Fixed that by adding cardboard from a cereal box convered with packing tap to tuck inbetween the dividers and the back side of the bag.

Overall I'd recommend it. Got a good deal on it with two champ discs from Discovering the World.

I was noticing yesterday how well my Plano bag is holding up.  I really abuse disc golf bags.  This bag has been hard at work for 2 and a half years.  All of the seams and all of the zippers are still good.  I think I should talk to Plano to see if they want to get into the disc golf bag business.

Innova has not solved their quality control problems but they are standing behind their product.  I had an Innova bag returned to me immediately after purchase last tournament because it was defective new and I refunded the brass.  Innova replaced it without a problem.  They did not want the defective bag back, so Diana is going to repair it, and then we will sell it for half price as an X out!
