I've had some interest in a high school event. Format would depend on the # of players. I'll get to those later if there is interest.

We have high school members from Warren, New Trier, & Wauconda. Is there any high schoolers out there that would like to participate in a spring event? It would take place after school at a location TBD. 1 round of 18 holes. Sometime during the week in April. Post if you are interested.

You would not need to be a member. It would be after school on a weekday somewhere up here in the north burbs. I'm also looking for 4 guys per school. If not, i'd probably adjust the format.

i got a feeling warren is coming in suck place, but it still sounds really fun.  how's it going to work?  combined score, or will there be some kind of doubles set-up?

Will not be doubles. It will be singles. I'd like to see teams of 4 & I have a fun format. If not, I have a backup plan.

I'd like to do Adler if possible. Decent location for most people to get to and a fun 9 holer.

Ideally here is what i'd like to do.

I want to get 4 teams of 4 players.
Each team would rank players 1 thru 4.
All the # 1's would play together on a card, 2's on a card, 3's on a card, & 4's on a card.
Each group would play 2 rounds of 9 holes at Adler.
All ties in a group would be broke by a sudden death playoff.
Points would be given to each group. 1st-4pts, 2nd-3pts, 3rd-2pts, & 4th-1pt. The team with the most overall points would be the winner. Ties for 1st place overall would be broken by a sudden death playoff. Each team would select a player to represent them in the sudden death.

So far it looks like New Trier & Warren will probably be able to get 4 players. Just need to find 2 more teams. I'll check at Carmel to see if there is any interest. Possibly Adrian Jr in Zion, Todd in Libertyville, & Nick in Wauconda. We'll see what happens.

If the team thing does not work out I have a backup plan that we could include any number of players from any schools. Maybe I could possibly set up 2 dates. One with teams & one as a individual event.

Give me some dates during the week in April that your team can make it. Find 3 days that would work.  What time do you guys get out of school?

Adler is a challenging 9 hole course. They are longer then Beiver & more wooded. It's a good mix of lefty/righty and length.

sounds good brett.  we get out of band at about ten after three, so if we bring our discs to school, we should be able to get to the course by 3:30.  I'm not sure about the schedules of our other two guys yet, but andy and i are really busy in april with WGI World Championships at the end of the month.  We won't be able to do it on the following dates:
04.04
04.06
04.08
04.11
04.13
04.15
04.18
04.20-23

Like I said i don't know when our other guys can do it.  I don't think they'll have much conflict after school.  I also have drum lessons on fridays that would conflict, but if necessary, I could probably cancel.  I think one of our other guys has his on thursdays, not sure.  so yeah, I'm pretty busy, but once we get a better of idea of when people can do it, I'll see what i can work around.

This sounds like alot of fun, but i dont know to many kids at libertyville that go out to the course just to play without drinking or smoking, so it could be hard finding a team, but i might beable to put one together. And would all the team members have to be a discontinuum member? i still have to sign up to be a member, but that will be done before this is held.

Todd,
You don't have to be a DISContinuum member to play. Glad to hear you are going to join again though! Let me know if you can find 3 other guys interested. If not i'll do an individual event rather than the team event.

If we'd get that much interest i'd probably run a full singles event with no teams. That would be a good team.
