Is he using your trophy baskets for this events?  If there is a tournament where he is, be sure to let us all know.  Those are cool.

So far those baskets are only for winter league winners.  If you can stand freezing your a$$ off with me ... then you can earn a basket.   ;D

[Thread Drift]Brett and I spoke a bit about baskets for IOS events .... I'm still putting some numbers together.

Ok, back on topic.

Anyone that is going to play the Lumber Cup this coming weekend needs to remember that only Pro/Adv day is sanctioned.  Gary did tell me at last week's league that he's gotten more pre-regs than he's ever seen before.  I've uploaded those that have pre-registered using the PayPal link on the Joliet Disc Golf site to the tournament page at PDGA.com.

Also ... if anyone does plan on playing they should make sure they take the time out to play West Park.  As of last Friday, May 26, the park has gone through a little redesign.  Holes 1,2,3,4,12,13,14,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23 have been moved from their original locations.  Tee boxes 3 and 23 have been moved to different locations.  The changes on some holes are major, others subtle.  Gary is going to give me the footages and locations so I can update the scorecards before the weekend.  I will post a map as soon as I get it updated.  To date, I am not sure if Gary is going to add the A, B, C baskets near the pavillion or not.

Keep an eye on the PDGA website for the Lumber Cup and www.jolietdiscgolf.com for info and such.

Throw well ...

Do you mean the tees were all moved this week?  I havent been around long enough to know what all the "original" placements are... I have been playing the course for 2 years or so.

Only TWO (2) tees have been moved.  All others are in the original placements.  The baskets on the other hand HAVE been moved.  It's worth a look.

I was down there today -  the only really radical changes are:
#3, which is now a straight downhill from around where old #2 basket was (#2 basket now about 30 ft to the left) - basket closer to tee #4, trees down the middle but they're easy to avoid unless it's a tournament round;

#23: tee is at about 11 o'clock from basket #22; tight route but no more difficult than before; no red tee for this one. (not for #3 either)

#4: The biggest change. The basket is tucked right around where old tee #3 is. If the road up there is OB - it comes to within about 10 ft of the basket - this could be a tricky hole if you're going for 2. Otherwise you can just go left and have a fairly open look for a 3 or a long uphill duece try; unless it's a tournament.

The other changes just make the routes a little bit longer. #11 looks like it's had flash flooding lately, all the plant growth is covered with mud and there's still lots of standing water out there.
thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

I've just uploaded the scores for The Lumber Cup to PDGA.com.
Here's the link ... http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=5850#Open

Bear in mind that they are still unofficial until the final paperwork is turned in.

It was a great tournament and the weather was PERFECT!

and ... Damon, I'm REALLY SORRY I hit you on hole 24.   :o  I kept praying a tree would come between you and the disc.

no biggie, it was a glancing blow and was probably slowing down by the time it hit me.

all things considered, it was the highlight of my round.  :P

Sweet,

Somehow my name changed from Terry "T-Dogg" Miller to Tim Miller.  Anyway - I just PM'd someone to let them know that it was incorrectly reported for my big, bad, 7th place finished.  Yeah, I totally kicked Brett Comincoli's arse!  :)

Ok, now I gotta post what I came here for in the first place.

It looks like my score for the Lumber Cup (adv. division) was posted under the name "A Kammel".  My actual name is Adam Rahmel (PDGA #29724).  If that can still be corrected, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Adam

I am pretty sure it can still be corrected, because it isn't official yet. My dad should see this and fix it so it is correct.

My apologies Adam ... When I took the names off the leaderboard Sunday, I was in a hurry and didn't double check with Gary Lewis.  It has been corrected.

Thanks Brett ... it was another one of my trying to dicipher what was written on the leaderboard.  I think there's still one or two more names that might be messed up.  I will correct as I receive notification ... or until Gary gives me the paperwork to upload.

Dan,
Tonight at league the guys were giving Ray grief about being in the right place at the right time ... I guess he won the spot in a raffle.

Mokena next on 7/8!

Tyler & I will probably play a few practice rounds this weekend, Sunday most likely. (hopefully I can get a lower tag than #87, lol!)

Depending on what I have going on Sunday, I might come down for that day also, but we'll see how bad I can throw on Saturday.  ;D
