QuoteI wouldn't call Kenny a bagger.  I think he's a good guy and a pretty good player.

i like the guy too, a few weeks ago we hung out all weekend long and shot several rounds of golf together, but he is way better than a rec player.  honestly, i bet if someone pulled him aside and suggested that he play int he wouldnt take it to heart and its not like he has a bad chance there anyway.  beyond that, if he is looking to accumulate points for the whole IOS series he may as well go to intermediate from the begining because he'll end up there after this weekend.

Advanced division looks like it will be pretty fun...

...just found out today that I have to have surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Looks like the IOS #1 will be the last tournament for me for at least a month... :-[

sorry to hear about that - what is a meniscus and what is the recovery time?

If you fill a glass beaker with water and hold it up to eye level, around the edge of the water it will rise up just a little to meet the glass because of surface tension or something.  That's a meniscus.

"The curved upper surface of a nonturbulent liquid in a container that is concave if the liquid wets the container walls and convex if it does not." www.dictionary.com

It is also the cartilege in a joint.

"A cartilage disk that acts as a cushion between the ends of bones that meet in a joint."

Its the shock absorber between Serg's femur (upper leg) and Tibia and Fibula (lower leg).  Assuming ithe surgery is a scope, Serg should be back to many activities in a few weeks.  The problem is that with disc golf there is a lot of twisting and he may need to stay away longer. A guy in my spin class is having meniscus surgery on Saturday.  He will be back to biking pretty soon because biking is good therapy. He will just have to hold off on standing on the bike.  Disc golf might be a little harder on the knee.  Good luck Serg!! :walk:

Mukey

Any surgery is no joke. Hope everything goes OK & your recovery time is short.

CEValkyrie

Good luck with the recovery Serg! Injuries stink.

Thanks guys....now back to the regular scheduled thread....

....I should be available most of the day on Sunday for help as needed. If there is anything that needs to be done I'll be around. I was hoping to go through the course and take some photos for part of the day.

Photo taking would be cool.  If you take digital photos someone can work with you on getting them up in a tournament gallery on discontinuum.org.

143 pre-reg.  Crazy.

I'm guessing we get 179 pre-reg by Friday noon when the store stops taking them.

I'll just keep gearing up for IOS #2 :)

So do you ever go to a tournament wondering, "If I finish in the prizes, are they going to have any good stuff?"

I just finished loading the merch wagon.  I'm bringing approximately 1,000 discs, including a lot of the new Star plastic.  I have a cube full of shirts, towels, hats, visors and a couple of bags.  I've got Golo!  I have one of those awesome discatcher mini baskets for the Advanced Merchlord who has everything else.

Jon, don't forget the dyed Star that you have.
