I read today on the Buffalo Grove Park District website that they are intending to install another 9-hole course near the corner of Buffalo Grove Road and Aptikisic.
Can anyone confirm this?
Is this a DISContinuum venture?

The park district people talked about it at the doubles tournament last summer.  It will be there sometime this year for sure, dont know when.  I dont think anyone from the club had a hand in it, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I've played the course several times in the last 10 years or so that it has been on and off the BGPD radar. I helped Tom Christiensen with the layout once but I have no idea if they are still basing it on those plans. I offered help to them last year and they politely declined. I wouldn't be surprised if it actually went in this year...wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.

It will be half on BGPD property and half on BG Public Works property. It could be a cute little course if the layout that Tom C came up with (although with some obvious conflicted tee situations that are common in Tom's past designs) or it could be a dumb and lame course. The property is not the type that lends itself to unique disc golfing opportunities.

I understand it will be close to the new handicapped (or handicApable) softball field. When I drove by and saw that the dugouts were made of concrete, I thought someone was on drugs. It seems that it is for folks in wheelchairs who play softball (semi-pro?).  How cool is that?!?
It didn't look like there was a lot of room for a disc golf course, but I've got no room to talk on that point.
