Yay, I'm a number! lol.  If someone could so kindly update my pre-reg information on pdga.com with my new, fancy PDGA # of 30192, I would appreciate it, thanks :)

If this one scanned well and you have a good monitor, the spiral kind of looks like red, orange and yellow braided together.  If not, this is one of many varied trophy discs for IOS #2.  You'll just have to see them when you get there.

There is a possibility that a few of the white tees that are dirt will be moved for the tournament. Those include holes 5, 10, 15, & 16.  They won't be drastic changes but they need to be moved if the ground does not dry out by Saturday. They will be moved to the grass somewhere near each tee sign. The dirt tees were pretty muddy & not fun to throw from last night. The plan is to play the blue tees on Saturday but if they are muddy the white tees will be played both rounds.

Don't expect them to dry out anytime soon.  Those things like to take their time to dry out.  All 4 of those tees can get pretty bad.  How was the tee for 14?  I've seen the cement tee under water before when it's has rained a lot.  Also, expect a lot of soppy conditions on 3 (if you go far left), 4, and 12.

Who wants to invent temporary tees to cover muddy ground :)

Whoever updated my info on the pre-registration, thanks :)

good news and an excellent idea, but it wouldn't surprise me if you'll have to move 'em again after Saturday.  8)

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

I was just out there this afternoon.  Part of the tee started to dry on 15, but it's still muddy.  There is standing water on 16 right in the middle of the tee area.  That really stinks because it's a very tight fairway.  I tried throwing from behind the mud and well, I stink anyway, but my throw was terrible.  Hole 4 was practically a marsh, but it was definitely playable.  Since it was during my lunch we played the short version of the course (1-4, 13-19) so I didn't look at 5's or 10's tees.  I wouldn't expect much change from last night.  It's not that big of a deal moving 10 or 15's tees, but 5 and 16 both have a lot of trees.  Will be interesting to say the least.

Wind took my drive on 13 and put me behind a tree on 14 and then the back of my left hand hit a tree after I threw my disc... starting to swell up around my knuckles.  Not cool, but I'm going to play through it (I'm a leftie so it's my throwing hand).  I just have to hope for no wind.  I threw a 44 for 11 holes, not good.  But that's why I'm in rec :)  C'mon not last place haha.

I am not sure I follow the changes and problems but figure its pretty wet out there.  I am playing Saturday due to scheduling problems and will likely be the lowest rated player on the course.  If we have to play more of the concretes, hey I'm not complaining.

How do you work the spikes for the concrete tees?  I've thought about buying some baseball cleats because they are rubber cleats, but I wasn't sure about how my footing would be on the teepad.  I dont' think my old pair of baseball cleats would fit anymore...

It'll dry out some more over the next 36 hours.  Crystal Lake and Streamwood are probably worse so there's always a bright side: there's nowhere dryer to play this weekend!

I would assume it is not going to fill in the next 12 hours. There will be spots open. Just get there early!

I played around 7:00 tonight, but only made it through hole 14 before going back.. my back was getting sore and didnt want to mess with it.  The teepad for 5 is fine.  Completely dry.  White tee on 10 is pretty bad but moving to the side doesnt change the hole at all.  Blue tee on 10 is good enough.  I put my drive a little bit to the right of 10's pin and that was definitely the muddiest part of the course that I walked through.  I would imagine 15 and 16 are really bad, especially the area left of 15's pin.  There is always standing water there.

That's true, Lombard is definitely the best place to play this weekend compared to those other 2.

Mike- yes, there is standing water on the left side of 15.  It's probably what, a good 75' away from the basket though?  My judgment of distances are never great.  It's in the area near the baseball field, and comes out a good 20'.  It's not so friendly if your disc lands in it.  At least you'd be able to get your disc back in that water lol.  Stupid pond.

How was the area around 5's basket?  That's usually pretty nasty too... although it's good to hear that the tee was dry.  15's tee was muddy, but I did see some dry parts.

I might be out there again after my office league Friday night (rain delayed night lol), so maybe around 7pm or so.  We'll see.  It depends on how my elbow and my bruised knuckles feel.  I've never bruised knuckles before...
