I've been getting calls, e-mails, pm's, & im's like crazy this week. A car load of 4 other than Brakels are making the trip. If you plan to play please arrive early. I cannot save spots. I'll be out on the course from 4 to 8 today. If you want to register please have the correct change and something written with your info on it.

What? No Cheap Trick Rockford boy?  I actually heard them on 'XRT on the way to a tournament a few weeks ago.  I was thinking how I was in high school I listened to Surrender.  Now, when they say mommy and daddy are a little weird, I guess they are talking about...well never mind.  Drive safely.

No garuntees on driving safe - I always get a little excited when 'roundabout' comes on.  That song reminds of driving through Ontario on Hwy 401 at 110km per hour - pretty intense stuff!   Never got into Cheap Trick's music that much but I love the stuff that they do for the community.  Bun E Carlos recently donated 2000+ CD's to the library and most of them rock.

I was back out there today playing the "back half" (starting at 9-13, then coming back 4-8), and there were a LARGE number of people out there playing.  Always nice to see :)  A couple people mentioned they were getting ready for the tournament.  One guy I couldn't understand at all... but I knew he was practicing for the tournament lol

I have a question on marking a lie... yesterday I had a disc land in one of those short shrubs on 15, and it didn't come down.  It was right around 2 meters up.  Since it's not OOB, how do I mark that?  Do I just stand under it and throw from there?  Or do I somehow put my marker down in some approximate location to where the nose of the disc is at?

Also, there was something in the list of holes and special OOB lines and there was going to be a painted line on ... 11 I think.  Is that going to be on the right side on the other side of the path?  The baseball field I know is already OOB (and man was I close to that today!)

Mark your disc on the playing surface directly below where you disc is. If it is over 2 meters and it's during the IOS then take your stroke penalty.

Thank you for that clarification.

I have another question lol (tournament newbie).  I remember a while back talk about throwing Discraft only on some CTP holes.  Is that still happening, first of all.  Second, how does a player notify that they are going to throw discraft only on a particular hole?  Third, can I carry a mix of Innova/Discraft in my bag?

Just curious as to how that works out.  I've been practicing a lot with my discraft stuff, and while I'm not 100% sure on how the CTP thing works (hole to hole basis, who wins if there is a tie, etc) I think it might be fun to do.

Thanks for everyone with the patience to keep answering all of my ?'s

You can carry and throw whatever you want but you can only win the discraft ctp if you throw discraft on that hole. You don't have to declare it, you just have to do it.

That 2 meter rule will definitely come up this weekend.  Saw many discs stuck in trees during my 3 rounds today (only once mine, though - those pines on hole 20 are like living disc catchers - my new valk was in the very top branch of one and I had to climb all the way up to get it).  Neal aced 18 with a lefty wizard turnover shot, very sweet.  Should be a great weekend!!! ;D

Thanks Tim, but it was actually a glow element.  I am pumped and ready for tomorrow, weather looks sweet and I am ready to play some golf.

Nathan, sorry merch wasn't open when you were at the park. Hope you hung out for a while to watch the pros play.

As far as merch on Sunday, our voluteer is not playing tomorrow so they should be more accessible.
