Also to not play the red cliff shot for the hole where the white tee is not a cliff shot is to miss out on a cool little hole. Otherwise it is like playing #1 at Bev (not that there's anything wrong with #1 at Bev, but we play that every week).

You're talking about #4, right?

Damon, the long tee on hole #1 is behind the short tee. That's why they call it a long tee. :) But seriously, its about 50-75 feet behind the short tee, right next to the bench that has the sitting part about 4 feet off the ground (really high!).



Jim, it has nothing to do with being a righty, #4 at West Park is a left to right shot ("lefty hole") whether you play it from the white or the cool red tee on the cliff. Hey, it must be a cool hole if I'm volunteering to climb the cliff an extra time!

...that's weird. I always thought that the one by the bench was the *only* tee for #1. Even playing the 'white' tees in a tournament a few yrs ago, that's the tee we shot from.

There might be a bench by the white tee also. This is also the first year that I've been to the Illinois State Championships that there wasn't a part of the course that was reconfigured. Maybe at some point they added the tee at #1. I can't say for sure because I do not remember all of the former configurations for the course.

I don't think we're playing all of the tees, just trying to figure out which ones we're playing for the safari. I'd like to play the red tees (those are the long tees).

If its going to be a playoff, it needs to be right then on the day of the last event. People just need to know in advance that if they are in a contention situation, they should show up for the last event, or risk losing the playoff by a no show.

Having driven 725 miles on Sunday and 475 miles on Saturday, I think I can do the 325 to Chicago this weekend [275 if the Muskegon-Milwaukee bridge is open] standing on my head.  Therefore, there will be no easy wins at Chanahon!



Anybody get the Winter Disc Golf World News?  Look for one fat, ugly, smiling me on page 14!  Then read the C-tier box scores and see who won Adv Mixed at CCR Doubles!  That Diana Brakel really rocks!

If all that is missing is basket 18, we could start everyone on consecutive holes 1-N.  When the players who started on hole N get to hole 18, they could set up a basket.  With a steady stream of groups going through, it would be safe.

Jon, when and where is up in the air pending the resolution of my rhinovirus.  If everyone is healthy we will probably stay at Mom and Dad's house.  If anyone other than me is sick and I am healthy, I will come alone and be hoping for the Wheeling futon.  If I am still sick and everyone else is healthy, we will probably stay at a motel.



I should be healthy.  Coldeeze kicked this rhinovirus in the horn.  Diana or Kelsey might still catch this cold.  They think they already had it.  I don't remember either of them being sick.



If I am coming alone, I will probably drive over Saturday morning.  Otherwise, Friday evening.

I like it when the upper and lower pool play the same tees so that the lower pool can compare their scores.  



If WCP from longs is 46, we should play longs.  Unless there is a foot of snow.  And especially not if the TD says we are playing shorts.

Could the standings guy and the website guy get together and update the standings?  The front page link to standings only has points for #1 and #2.  



I'm seeing a doctor Wednesdy about my ankle.  Then I'll decide what to do about the Safari.  I hurt too much after playing nine to even consider playing a tournament.  But if Jon is in, I've got to make him earn it!

I saw the orthopedic doctor today.  He says I pulled a hamstring and the achilles tendon.  The pictures did not show a break so the sharp pain in the shin might be the "shin splint from hell."  I think that is the technical term for it, anyway.  Otherwise it is a bone break that is not showing on the x-ray.  Whatever: throwing with a run-up is not happening for a few weeks.



I might caddy for Diana up at Northern Waters #1--Lake Ann Baptist Camp this weekend if the weather looks good.  She found free childcare for Friday afternoon through Sunday morning, which is about right for any trip to a Northern Waters event.
