I had fun.  I'll see you all at the three-event Illinois Open Series next summer.  That should be fun too.

Congrats to Brett and Becky on their late charges to the finish. Wish I could have made it, if nothing else for a shot at the ace pool CTP  :(

What was the weather like? Scores sound high (except for Brett) for what I've heard about the course.
thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Damon

It was 30 ish degrees and occasional breezes (5-10 mph). Overcast sky. Not too bad. I had fun.

It was a pretty nice day. Little cold but the wind wasn't bad at all. I thought I could of shot a -6 but putting did me in. This course doesn't have a lot of holes that penalize you for a bad drive but I managed 1 that caused me to take my only bogey.

We were talking about this so I thought I'd dig it out of the archives and bump it up.  Most of the thread is incomprehensible because a message board upgrade/transition caused the old board posts to sort by poster rather than by date.

Enjoy.

Wow, does that bring back a flood of memories.

That was back when...
I could beat Brett every once in a while.
I had a reasonably healthy body and could play as much DG as I wanted.
When I played club events, I was an upper player.
No club related decisions could be made without a bunch of whining on the message board.
Brett called me awesome.

Its amazing how much changes in 3 years! However, we have practically revived the Safari Series with the seven stop IOS.
72 PDGA TD reports completed and submitted.

A few of us were talking about setting up some times to play 18 hole Safari (Iron Man) doubles at Streamwood in the next couple weeks. Let me know who would be interested and what day (Sat. or Sun.) would work best. Hmmmm.....hole 15 to 16....that would RAWK.

Thanks,
