One of my coworkers threw my blue 172g Star Firebird possibly into the pond on hole 19 at Madison Meadows.  We know that it hit the Willow tree and then hit the ground, but we are thinking that it skidded into the pond.  Not sure if my name or number is on it.  It has a red hotstamp.  Disc looks brand new.

Reward if found.

Since you were lending it to someone that you've been getting started playing the game, I'll replace it for 1/2 price at IOS #3.  I can't guarantee that I'll have the same color or weight, but anything you want for your work league, I'll make you that deal.  I don't think Harold will mind, if it is to help get a new league going.

Thanks Bruce, I appreciate it, but you don't have to do that!  He actually already offered to buy another one for me and I ordered one to replace it as well as ordered one for him.

Unfortunately I also can't make it to IOS #3.  My sister-in-law with her 3 kids (all ages 7 and under) will be out here, so a disc golf tournament wouldn't work out too well.

...although if he's just started playing the game, you might want to reconsider letting him throw a Firebird....  ::)
thanks,

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Well, considering his drive on hole 3 at Madison Meadows with the Firebird hit the bottom of the basket's pole on his drive, I think he likes it heh.  He's a sidearmer, played some back in the late 70's, and has a very strong arm.  He was using an XS at first that would always turn over on him (not surprising), so I had him try out a Crush, Starfire, and Firebird.  He liked the Firebird the best.

But I know exactly what you're thinking on the Firebird.  I can't throw the thing very well at all.

Even with the pond shot, he threw a 65 for the entire 19-hole course.. sickens me that he's only played (recently) a couple of times lol.

Firebird isnt as bad for a beginner if they are a sidearm thrower...  But say goodbye to the shoulder & elbow once you start throwing big flex shots with it for D.  Whatever works and keeps them interested, I guess.  When I started playing I carried a Champion Eagle and a #2 Slice.  My arm is still attached.

Damon,
I found a blue roc of yours at Lombard today. Let me know how to get it back to you.
