The long range accuweather foreguess is for middle to upper 80s and sunshine.  A bit cooler than yesterday or today.

I went through the Am Worlds roster and it looks like we are losing three, maybe four, of our regular Illinois players, and none of our regular Wisconsin players to Am Worlds.  I saw Allen Hermosillo, Jim Bassett and those pro juniors.  So you all are going to need to pick up the slack and invite replacement players.   ;)

Hey Brett, Mirth or whomever takes care of the preregistrations. I paid through Paypal for the IOS#$ and forgot to add my PDGA# in the comments Box. When you receive a payment without a PDGA# please use 24032. You can PM me if you have any questions. I appreciate the help.

Could someone explain on the qcdiscgolf.com message board that we are limiting the field to 144 each day because we don't have enough volunteers to do much more than that?  I cannot remember my password.

It is possible that we will have enough volunteers to let in more players.  Last year Greg recruited a couple of very helpful volunteers.  You cannot really count your volunteers until you can see the whites of their eyes.

i got a few volunteers lined up that have been through the trenches of phish tour, college, and beyond - i think they'll be able to hang for the weekend.

Also, they will be giving us some free USADGC stuff which will go to the highest scoring qualifier.  He was vague on how much stuff or what I should do with it.  "You know, whatever Todd put in the package, its what you get.  Its free.  Give it away."  I think it is two Super Color discs and some Qualification Certificates, but whatever it is, someone is going to get it.

at wham bam it was 2 or 4 super color discs and a bunch of ultra stars(i'm pissed i didn't get one)

The SuperColor discs and UltraStars were for CTP's. Mike purchased the USADGC SuperColor discs to give to qualifying players, they didn't come the USADGC group directly.

So the decision has been made that spots "DO" bump down?

i'll be getting my video recorder out for the safari holes.  i know some footage was shot at IOS 2.  What ever happened with that?  If it hasnt been submitted maybe someone could edit all the cumulative footage from the IOSs and send it in at the end of the year as an 'IOS picumentary'.

Spots do bump down. Here is a list of previously qualified players who will be graciously bumping spots down if they play.  Players from Illinois and the states we draw from are highlighted.

I haven't seen anyone ask this question yet:  Which group plays which course first?  I care more about Sunday Int/Rec, but I'm sure people would want to know Pro/Adv as well.

My guess is that Pro's (Sat) will play East rd 1 and West rd 2.

Intermediate (Sun) East Rd 1 / West Rd 2.

And Adv (Sat) and Rec (Sun) would both be West Rd 1 and East round 2.

Or do I have the whole thing reversed?

Going to be interesting finding my starting tee on West heh.  All of those baskets are all over the place in the woods.  We had trouble at times trying to figure out which basket was the one to throw towards!

Whoops! Quoted Brett on the tees but then re-read the post & the quote didn't address which course comes first.

its probably a decision that will be made the day of the event - just like it was last year.  i feel that the old course is the better of the two courses so i'd like to have the upper divisions both days finish on that side.  but if one field is radically larger than another field than i would suggest that the smaller of the two fields play the new side first to minimize impact on the dirt tees, then have the large field mess em up in the afternoon.   for what it is worth, the dirt tees on the new side are nothing to be afraid of - honeslty, they are some of the nicest naturals that i've played on.  if precipitation plays a role like it did last year then we'll move the tee off area to another location - probably behind the tee pads ten feet, or to the side if fairway is a wide one.

Taking Greg's train of thought:

If the max on starting at any one hole is 4, is there a cap on "plain" Adv/Rec/Int at 80 players?

   Old side round:  20 holes @ 4 players/hole

If so, better watch the registration lists to make sure no single division has more that 80 pre-registrants.  I guess the overage could change divisions (if their player rating allowed it on Sunday).

We will probably decide the order in which the divisions play the courses before the day of the event so that we can get CTP flags ready to go in advance.  We will be doing the Marshall Street CTPs in the morning each day.

The Advanced Men's division will be one pool and all other divisions will be the other pool on Saturday.

Right now, nine of our pre-registered Advanced players have previously qualified for Am Nationals.  Spots are bumping waaaaaaaay down.

Yes. As long as you play advanced men you are eligible.

Let us hope that the whores of evil no longer loiter on the doorsteps of your path beckoning you into the brothel of despair, and that here and after may present them with the most rigid manistfestation of a firm and manly will.
