Mario Kart DS Galactic Challenge

Announcing the 1st Mario Kart DS Galactic Challenge.
Sunday, October 15th, 2006
Fairfield Park, Round Lake, IL
Registration starts at 10:00am
First race will begin at 10:15am
There will be an hour and a half break to check disc golf score cards and update scores on the PDGA. Informal races will continue as time permits during the IOS lunch break.
Afternoon races will commence once the IOS 2nd round tees off.
Format will be sets of grand prix until one person wins 3 races.
Most number of sets won wins.
If there is a tie for first we will have a one race playoff between the tied parties.
Entry fee is $3 if Bruce has time to make a trophy. Otherwise the entry fee is free.
All players must be either Advanced disc golf players or have no intention otherwise of playing disc golf that day (I really don't want anyone choosing to play Nintendo DS instead of disc golf!)
You must bring your Nintendo DS and Mario Kart DS game.
All players are expected to help in their usual capacity at the disc golf tournament.
Players are encouraged to help out at the disc golf tournament beyond their usual capacity.

Final results in sets:

1st Jon 7
2nd Ben 3
3rd Maddisen 1
4th Mike 0

I should point out that most of the sets were highly contested and anyone could have won many of the sets that I wound up winning. Although Mike didn't win any sets he did win about a half dozen races.

Where and when? I thought about doing one over the winter somewhere between here and Madison, WI but it seems I was never not sick long enough to start planning it. Since the last challenge I have completed all stages of the single person game, so I'm ready to defend!!!

If you are playing for the same trophy, maybe you need a traveling trophy plaque to put the names on?
