Cary course?

I haven't heard anything firsthand, but my wife was talking with a customer at her work, and he mentioned that he played frolf in Cary.  Anyone know anything about this?

The rest of the thread above that post talks about a temp course that was put in there for a summer camp or something, but didn't sound any more promising than that at this time.

Hopefully something can be installed if nothing is in the works yet!

More information...it's called "RRR" or something...Hickory Nut Ln. and Main St.?  Thats all the information I have to go on.  I'm taking a day off tomorrow and doing some scouting.

Scouting proved fruitless...it's a forest preserve, called Fel-Pro, just off of Crystal Lake Road in Cary, east of Silver Lake road...it's on the left side.  I walked all the way around the trails, probably 5 or 6 miles total, spent a couple hours out there, lugging my disc bag around, and found NOTHING.  It's damned annoying, seeing as the brochures for the day camp that uses these facilities says "portable and permanent disc golf baskets" are there.  There were some tall poles with hooks on them, but they were like 6 or 7 feet tall, and not in an arrangement that would indicate a frolf course.

However...the place is quite nice...I had a great nature walk.  Saw some deer and a fox out in the back 40...very nice tree cover...it's BEGGING to be a frolf course.  I'm thinking maybe it's just set up for the summer.

That would be a great location.  The northwest suburbs are in need of some more challenging courses.  Hopefully, someone with design experience is brought in to design such a course, if there is talk of that.

Agreed!  I'm sure that there's someone out there that would lend some sound advise at little or no cost to the town.
