Since the Cubs and Sox seasons ended abruptly this year, and everyone knows the Bears aren't going anywhere, how about those Bulls? One of the most lopsided opening night victories over the reigning NBA champs. I put their over/under wins at 53.

Dan Michler

I'll take the over on that.  I think they can get to 55-60.  We are the most complete and deepest team in the East.  People are picking the Cavs, but they are still too reliant on James.  The Heat are going to be like the Raiders after they lost that Super Bowl with all those old dudes.  Git R Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but this is when the Cubs' year ended:

I was indeed impressed with the Bulls last night.  They need to get out to an early start of maybe 7-3 or 8-2 before I'd start to feel a little bit more comfortable with where their season is heading.  I missed who the guys were that got hurt during the game... I hope it's nothing serious.

I definitely know that this year's team will be better than the 41-41 team of last year.  At least 50 wins would be nice, although I'm still in the baseball mentality of "anything less than 81 sucks", and I highly doubt that the bulls are expected to go 81-1 this year ;)

Alright after watching the Pistons play last night (and part of the Bulls game) I think I am going to retract my statement before. I'm still probably on the side of thinking that the Bulls won't win that many games, but this season is off to an odd start so far and it is apparent after only 2 nights of play. Carry on. :)

The Bulls would have to go 41-17 the rest of the season for 55 wins.  36-22 for 50 wins.  The way they are playing now, 50 wins doesn't seem out of reach.  55 is a long shot, there are too many good teams in the west that the Bulls are going to have to play at some point during the season.

they got off to the typical bad start with that brutal road trip that we have every single year at the start.  we're the hottest team in the league now though and we will continue to beat up on the East.  I can't see how any team in the east is better than the bulls right now.  We have 4 guys averaging 15+ pts right now.  The bulls are only going to get better.  Deng and Nocioni are really starting to figure it all out this year and play consistently.  thats a pretty good front court tandem averaging 34 pts and 12 boards between them.

I still say they get to 55.

I just hope New York continues the downward spiral so the Bulls get Oden next year.

They didn't get 50, and they have gone up 2-0 the last two years and lost, but hopefully this is the year.  They have as good a chance as anybody in the east, including the pistons.

Dan Michler

We got Ben Wallace for this series against the Heat.  It just sucks the 2 best teams in the East will have to play next round when we play the Pistons.  That should be a good series.  With the Bulls it pretty much just comes down to whether or not we make shots.  Skiles will have them playing hard as always though.

Also, we woudl have gotten to 55 wins had Nocioni stayed healthy.

If the Nets beat the Raptors then it won't be the Bulls playing the Pistons next round. I wish though since I bought round 2 tickets hoping that it would be. I agree that they are the best two teams in the east!

Noch being back has proven to be huge. I agree with Dan. 55 wins with a healthly Noch.

If they don't get out played by anyone like they did in a few important games down the strech all should be good for them. The last month of the season the only time the lost was when they played down to the level of their compeition.

How amazing to see the Bulls SWEEP the Heat! I couldn't get enough of Walker's face as the final seconds closed!

Ben Wallace is showing us why we payed him, not for the regular season, but to take on Shaq and win in the playoffs!

Go Bulls!
I need to be consistent....

Dare we hope that the Bulls can overcome history? I know it's a lot to hope on, but winning that game at the Palace like that has me considering that it possibly might happen. Can't wait for Thursday's game, it should be a great one!

Dan Michler

why u gotta jinx it mukey?  damn, u don't say things like that.  all i know is its headed back to chicago and we have to take care of business at home which will not be easy.  i gurantee detroit does not want a game 7.

If the Bulls starters can continue shooting in the 60-70% range then it shouldn't be any issue to win the next 2 games and the next 2 series. Their track record doesn't speak well for them though from this season in putting up high percentage shooting nights more than 2 games in a row.
