2007 AZ Memorial NT March 2- 4

Seasons pretty much over here other than The Big Chill in January.  Just bought plane tickets tonight for Memorial.  My plan is to putt in my basement for one hour a day and come tourney time Barries going down.

A friend of mine is also looking into stuff for the Memorial. Where did you stay last year? What airlines did you go through?

I did not go last year Serg.  My dad has a condo in pheonix but it is rented out Jan Feb and March so I can not stay in it for the tourney.  I think I am just going to stay in a cheap hotel.

It is Neal's kind of course, long and open, with a waste water treatment lagoon in the middle.  If you can stay out of the liquid shit, a long thrower can do very well there.

Arizona was an awesome trip.  Its perfect weather down there this time of year every single day.  Being back here totally sucks.  I basically played golf from morning til after the sun went down for 5 days, so I didn't let the good weather go to waste.  I sucked it up.  Neal played awesome and cashed at another bigtime event.

The courses were both awesome.  Fountain Hills is in a really beautiful park.  Over half the holes end up RIGHT next to the water on severe downslopes.  Some of them are on tiny peninsulas, so if you play there be prepared to lose some plastic.  I have never been so nervous as I was for some of those shots.  For the weekend I lost a total of 12 discs including practice rounds, I think Neal lost 14.

Vista is super long course with a ton of OB lines/water.  If you don't make a quality shot, that course will penalize you.  I think Vista is the most fun of the 2 in hindsight.  I think I played atleast 8 rounds on that course over the week.

also saw a Cubs spring training game in mesa...........soriano is going to blow it up!

The Memorial is a sweet tourney on two great courses.  It was very windy for pretty much the whole tourney which made things more difficult.  My 2nd round I kind of blew up just need to keep it together and stop getting triple bogies in big tournies on my 2nd round.  Still got into the money so that is sweet.  Discontinuum represented in AZ, Nate Doss also used a discontinuum pencil to write down scores.       Only lost to him by a stroke the first round.
