I think Bruce is looking for ideas for an order to Innova, not all of the out-of-production discs you enjoy throwing. They are all sweet discs, but 4/5 are discs that you can't get from Innova in mass quantities.

Bruce, if you can find a couple of 175 Bulldogs I'll take them next spring. They're supposedly OOP, some online places still have them but I've got a stack of brass I need to unload so I can wait...
thanks,

Damon, if you can find someone who has them for trade or sale we might work out a three-way deal.  They are out of production and out of stock.  Innova has more molds X plastic types than they casn produce right now, so they are only producing the fastest selling discs, which is too bad because there really is not another disc like the Bulldog.

--------------------------------

The original question on the thread was five discs you are disappointed if the TD does not have, but I mistitled the thread.  I doubt if anyone is ever disappointed when the TD does not have stuff that has been out of production/out of stock for over a year.

With Innova, if there is something you really like, you should get five of them, and then start stockpiling.  You never know when a perfectly good disc like the Beast is going to be pulled from production and replaced by some other disc with the same name or not replaced at all.

...they are only producing the fastest selling discs, which is too bad because there really is not another disc like the Bulldog.

...unless you attach a 5 gram weight to a Hydra. Dunipace admitted it's essentially the same disc...

http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=460579&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=248&vc=1

... so why he's continuing the Hydra, which most people seemed to laugh at, and discontinuing the Bulldog, which people were raving about, is another mystery of the business world I'll never get...

(Hey Mirth, http links don't format here like they used to. I wanted to highlight the sentence w/ Dunipace as a link to the webpage. What am I doing wrong?)
thanks,

I've only been playing on and off since July of "06, and I've only just started throwing and selling Innova discs over the last 2 months,  but so far i'm impressed with the :

Star Wraith  - I seem to be able to throw it further that my Pulse and Surge
Star SL - I just love the flight line of this disc
Star Orc - I've not thrown the Orc too much yet, but the flight line it "should" take is nice

It's not 5, but what can you do.  I did just add the 2007 Pro Worlds Champion Wraith in my bag, and a Star Max.

Color wise I like the neon Green Innova uses, it almost glows in the dark.

What is a flat top Roc?  What kind of plastic is it made out of?

I can probably make flat top Rocs if i know what Roc to start with!   ;D

Flat top Rocs are usually DX Ching Rocs.  I'm pretty sure they are so much flatter than their domey dx counterparts due to the full color stamp that is applied.

I had someone looking for flat top star stingrays a couple of weeks ago.  All of mine have a domey look to it... not sure what he was looking for.  Some kind of magical disc?

So like a classic roc?
No, a classic roc is a completely different mold from a dx roc.  Different diameter, different rim, different in every way.  They are talking about a DX Roc that has been flattened by the application of a Ching colormax stamp.  Diana might have one in her box of stuff she does not throw.  She used to throw almost all Ching.

I will "look around" and see if I have any flat top dx rocs.  If I look hot enough, i mean, hard enough, I'm sure i can find some.   >:D
