PS3 Vs. XBox 360

a friend of mine last night was talking about how he is expecting to get a new Xbox 360 anyday soon to replace the one that stopped working.  The funny thing is that he told me when he called customer support about the error he was receiving they said that no only do they not know what the error meant, they don't know why he was getting an error either.  He said that he has had overheating problems too, but I don't know if it is on the same xbox 360 or if he had already received a replacement before.

I have CoD3 for the PS3 but have not played it online. I've tried the RFoM demo...I started calling the game "Resistance...Time to Die!" I had trouble living more than a minute or two so I never bought the full version. I've been playing a lot of Skate for the last few days...lots of fun...HUGE world to skate in. Also playing 2K8 All Pro Football, the new Ratchet and Clank Demo (it's the full 1st level). Minna No Golf 5 (the Asian import version), NCAA Football 08, Motorstorm (just bought the new expansion pack), plus some other puzzle games that I bought from the PSN.

After my 1st full weekend of playing, I have to say I love my PS3. Had a lot of fun playing online with my buddy & killing fools when I wasn't golfing this weekend.

I'll be playing Call of Duty online during the evenings this week, if anyone wants to join up. My PSN name is also "Mukey", so message me or add me as a friend and we'll get a game of our own going.

Nah, I would never screw myself over like that if I really wanted to go. Like I said on the Homie thread, not feeling like playing tournaments right now. I'm just taking a break from competition play and planned on taking that break >before< I got a PS3. Plus, I think they make you turn in your PDGA card if you don't at least get outside & play when you get nicer than average days in Chicagoland during October.

A lot of times you're seeing Maddisen and I going head to head in S.K.A.T.E or Spot Battle. I really liked the Tony Hawk games but I thought they were getting kind of unoriginal and this year's demo really underwhelmed me. The Skate demo really impressed me and the full game is even better. The full game has a HUGE environment to just skate and have fun in.

Just bought Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare last night. really great looking game, the online ranking system actually gives you in game rewards such as sights, silencers, and other bonuses instead of just a rank. Very fun, only played about 5 minutes of the single player campaign though. Stayed up 'til 1:30 am playing online.

I'd suggest this game to all PS3 owners who like 1st person shooters.

So, are you playing CoD4 exclusively now? I probably won't be getting that until Christmas or my birthday. I'd still like to hook up to play CoD3 but I've actually been busier since being out of work. I've been doing consulting, looking for jobs and doing stuff around home.

I'd play some COD3 if you wanted to, but not being able to talk to eachother would kinda suck after playing with headsets. Helps to find snipers, call out troop movements, airstrikes, etc. Although the servers for COD3 never had any problems like the COD4 ones had this weekend. I was kinda pissed just cause if they want to complete with Xbox Live they can't have service interruptions like they did, especially on the 1st full weekend that the game is realeased.

Xbox Live users, do you ever experience any outages?

I tried CoD3 online for the first time today. It was a blast. Then tonight while Becky and I were watching TV my lamp blew on my TV! Tomorrow I have to find someplace that has a replacement within driving distance.  Jon get very angry when TV not work!!!

Back in Business. Skokie TV in Wheeling had one so the drive was short. I got 20 months out of that lamp which the guy said is above average but I think I only got 4 or 5 thousand hours which is way under the 10000 hour rating that the lamp has.

I downloaded Pain on Thursday from the PlayStation Store. Really fun PS3 game! It took me a while to hit just the right letters and fingers to make this screen shot. I am such a child!

This one was even more difficult. Those letters at the Man Hole were really hard to hit without hitting other letters.
