Don't buy Dead Space, no matter how hyped you may be or fan of the genre. I rented it & beat it in 3 days. Looks nice, but is easy

Mega-Man 9 on the PSN is well worth $10

Call of Duty: World at War is out and unbelievably out does CoD4 in every way. Visually it is stunning. Although it is based on the CoD4 engine they tweaked it quite a bit and it runs much smoother, more detailed, less banding and other artifacts. There are more maps than CoD4, they are bigger and they are much more detailed. Many of us had some trepidation about playing another WWII shooter but after just a few minutes of play you'll realize that this is not the same old WWII shooter you've played nine times before. They did a really good job of not making you miss the old weapons by giving you some stellar weapon selections and adding tanks into the game. In multi-player hard core it takes two bazooka shots or two sticky 'nades to blow up a tank. Now you have a really good reason to carry those bazookas around!

If anyone is interested in playing with adults in a laid back atmosphere (no required practices or ability), then check out www.twwclan.com. Sweet, I'm gonna hafta check that out!

Just upgraded the TV and I bought Resistance 2 Tuesday. I've only played about 20 minutes of it so far though, Bioshock still has a hold of me right now.

Might have to pick this up this weekend....

After just playing throught the first level & also playing some of the online multiplayer this week, I've got to say that Resistance 2 is a better polished version of R1, with some added twists that actually do add to the gameplay. The cooperative multiplayer makes you choose between a soldier, special ops (resupply), or medic; and it's geared so that if anyone strays out of their role the whole team fails the mission. With experience to unlock levels, its almost as addictive to me as COD4 was last year.   ;D

The single player seems to be more of what you'd expect from a FPS game, although the bosses fill the screen and give a great sense of YOU being the bug about to be squashed. Though like I said, I've only played the 1st level so far.

I played the R2 open beta and although it is a good game it was too unreal tournament-like for me. I really prefer the CoD and SOCOM style of shooters.

One of the cool things that Slant Six added to CoD was the ability to heal people when they are in their last stand. The only thing that I don't like about it is that you don't get any points for healing someone. But it is a nice counter balance to snipers and some snipers are starting to use it to their advantage by not finishing off people in their last stand so that they can take a shot at someone coming in to heal the downed man.

Upon further play and also after playing a rented copy of Call of Duty World at War, I'm also leaning toward that one as far as deathmatch multiplayer. I lke the cooperative of R2, but the multiplayer vs. matches left a bit to be desired. I'm gonna be selling R2 and getting COD.

does anyone play final fantasy 11 its for the ps2, ps3, computer, and xbox 360? its kind of like world of warcraft being as its all online play with open world roaming. its nothing like the other final fantasy games. the graphics are unreal. at any given time there is at least 10000 people playing. no one can kill each other, but you can create parties to conquest with or play solo. no matter what system you play the game on you can interact with everyone. if you like role playing games, this is the best.
