Good thing we aren't playing the tournament right now!   :D

I'm picking up my Discraft tomorrow.  If anyone needs anything special, let me know.  Becky, I'll get your Glides.

It had been a while so I finally enter the prereg's on the PDGA Tour page.

Hopefully the course will dry out over the next few weeks. I would hate to miss out on hole 7A.

The water in front of the 17 basket/18 teebox is the only place that has standing water. All the other holes/fairways are fine.

After a heavy rain, water used to collect in front of 1, 2, 3, and some other holes. But they are all dry. You can walk straight to the basket on all of them. No water. I don't know if the park district did something with drainage into the creek, but they are all very playable.

7A is flooded though, being next to the lake. That's a temp hole we all talked about after last year's tournament was over. It was the best hole at Jericho Lake. Wish it could have stayed.

I'm sure Ron meant to start this post with a "If you get a chance could you...." or "This is a minor thing, but I saw..." Instead of the no-punctuation (can't even wait to log in under his screenname because he's so angry) Guest Ron Miller.

Here's a smilie of Ron when he checked out the prereg today:  :angry9:

And whatever you do, don't bother ending it with a "thank you," or mentioning how much you're looking forward to the tournament.  You tell 'em, Ron! I agree, politeness is overrated. :whip2:

Jon Brakel

OK, let's not turn this thread into a politeness bitch thread. Everything's cool. Let's just all chill out and try to think of dryer weather!  O0

Ok, everybody chill and thank you Brett and whenever is fine to correct it> I did not want a problem on the day of the tournament and again thanks and everybody have a nice day except Mukey ( get a life bud )

Glasspipe I will discuss protocol with you later and get ready to get your a$$ kicked at Jericho

I got my Aurora discs today.  Diana, Kelsey and Kira all liked the custom stamp.  It is just a carp jumping out of the pond [jumping off the menu of a Chinese restaurant, actually!] to see what is going on.  So I'll be starting on tournament trophies tonight.  Time to pre-register.

If anyone wants a Bears Flick, I've got a lot of orange Z Flicks, both in the 150 and the normal, heavier weights.  I'm not sure what else I have because there was a little mix up on the order.  I saw the heavier Flicks and am assuming that the 150s will be there too.  Hoping, anyway!

Whoever was asking about D-Buzzzes, I have twelve or so.  Stock stamped, no fishes.

Brett, if 7A is still flooded, do you have another alternate in mind already? I was trying to think of where another hole would fit, but wasn't coming up with anything great.

Even without 7a, there are still 3 other alternates.

I thought the 12A Aaron laid out for the Ice Bowl played well, even though you had to walk back up the fairway to exit.  It threw north from just north of the 13 long tee.  OB fence line on the left, creek on the right.  280ish distance, I think.

How I remember it

Jon Brakel

It's too bad they don't allow swimming in that lake. If they did we could play that hole with the water IB!  >:D

I agree with Kurt, I really liked the alternate that was played at the ice bowl.  I wonder how close the creek/river gets to that area with all the added rain right now.  That came into play for a couple people on my card.

I don't know if there's anything you can do about having to walk back up that fairway to move on to the next hole.  That would be the only reason I could see it not working for an IOS (presuming there's enough people that you can't put many gaps in between cards).

last year the IOS had around 72 each day. That' s 18 foursomes. No room for many gaps.

Fox Metro Discer

If I remember correctly there is gap in the fence about 3/4 of the way back towards the hole that goes into the garden area where the gardeners go to get water from the stream, but I am not sure if you can get back to the course from the fields, I will check into it when I get back from vacation ext week.

Oops, that link was supposed to include the fairway and pin placement.  Should be fixed now. Updated Link

Walking back up the fairway was not a huge deal 'cause the hole was fairly short.  It might be possible, however to go counter-clockwise around the garden area to where the other temp holes were laid out, thereby avoiding crossing 14 like we did last year.
