i knew it was a dog but didn't know it was an egyptian racing dog. based on how the mascot looks in print I figured it was a variation on a husky or malamute.

It's an exciting time to be a Saluki!!!! Men's B-Ball is rockin in first place in the MVC and are finally ranked!!!, the women's B-Ball is tied for first in conference after only winning 4 games last year, Football is a cinderella story even more then woman's basketball, and SIU plays Butler in the marquee game of the Bracketbuster!!!!!    to anyone who wants to know more about SIU sports check out www.salukitalk.net 
If the DAWGS can keep it up I can see them getting close to the mid to low teens on the polls!!!!!!

Everything's coming up milhouse!!! jumped up to #16 today!!! 2 more wins (one hopefully over Butler in the Bracket Buster) and we are looking at potential top ten!!!!  Great day to be a Dawg!!!

#4 RPI!!!! while this would get us a 1 seed in any of the top 6 conferences, we will probably get a 3 (2 MAYBE if we can win out in the MVC tourney this weekend).  Still a great day to be a saluki, AGAIN!!!! GO DAWGS!!!

If you're referring to Arch Madness, yes, I was able to go twice in my college career.  The last time, last year, SIU won the tourney for the first time in I think 10 years!!! it was an amazing experience.  SIU has the most fans there and the loudest student section there every year.  It is a great atmosphere when you look around the savvis...scottrade center and see all the maroon and then sections of all the colors of the conference.  I highly recommend making a trip down to one if you can.  If you are referring to the website, yes I also have gone and it is a good place to get info on incoming recruits, game threads, and just about anything.  I am frolfdawg1 on that message board.

oh, yeah I've been to the arch, it was pretty fun when I went up into it because you can see into (well could) old busch and a game was going on.  I think the champ. game is on CBS at 1 but I could be wrong, salukitalk is saying clark kellogg will be one of the announcers.  should be a great game, too bad I have to work during that time but I'll be checking my phon every chance I get. GO DAWGS!!!! if they win this game (knocking on wood) they have a great chance of getting a 2 seed which lends itself to a possible deep run in the NCAAs.

you and me both, so many great players I wish were still there, darren brooks, kent williams, WALT FRAZIER!! but this team is gellin so well, they will be a tough draw for anyone in the NCAAs.  Too bad they lost today, they just didn't seem "there" I hope this doesn't hurt their chance at a 2 seed but because they aren't in the "Power Conferences" they are probably more a 3-4 seed.  But that is still a good draw. now we wait for selection sunday.  Maybe it's a conspiracy for them to lose to get more MVC teams in, that's been the talk on salukitalk for many years haha.
